I don’t feel dead, but if Hansen said it then it must be so. Do I have to pay my income tax this year since I am dead?
There have been a lot of Zombie shows lately, I wonder if that was what he was referring to?
Hansen and other climate scientists correctly predicted that there would be at least 2 degrees of cooling the past and warming the present by 2006. Hansen is a genius! Give that Mann a Nobel Prize!
Living in Florida 2 degrees, the difference between 90 and 92 degrees, isn’t that noticeable.
If you talk relative humidity, the difference between 80% and 98% will get your attention.
Except relative humidity isn’t a good indicator of how one feels. Dew point works much better.
“Do I have to pay my income tax this year since I am dead?”
No, but you’ll be voting in Chicago.
Ummm….CO2 destroys the ozone? was a pollutant int 1986?
The HCO was 100,000 yrs ago?
No MWP?
Obviously, the background info for the article already covered things like hiding those pesky previous warm periods, the LIA and such.
The Holocene Climate Optimum was 9,000 to 5,000 years B.P. The Wisconsin Ice Age ended about 11,000 years ago and the current Ice Age, the Pleistocene Epoch began approximately 1.6 million years ago, according to the EPA.
I think they pulled 100,000 years out of their posteriors because it is a big scary number.
And probably ‘believable’…because it’s big enough that most folks won’t check it out. Because, 100,000 yrs ago was pretty much in middle of the Wisconsin glaciation (around the end of the Early Wisconsin)…unless Hansen really believes that in the middle of an ice age it was warmer than it is now…
Well, I sure as heck hope it is warmer now than it was during the Wisconsin Ice Age.
Like I said pulled out of their posteriors.
No doubt the Strauß Team™ will soon be showing up to proclaim it was a mistake made by Hanen’s Publicist and we can not blame Hansen for the error…
Even the Naval Postgraduate School has lost their minds. So incredibly foolish to be led around by the nose with absolute propaganda.
Yep… As Steven has detailed on here for years… There have always been Alarmists around making Doomsday predictions…
And all of them have been wrong…
