The maximum temperature in Illinois on July 14 this year was 82 degrees, up from 80 degrees last year and 29 degrees cooler than 1936 and 1954.
July 14 temperatures in Illinois are declining at 3.1 degrees per century. The last 100 degree reading in Illinois on July 14 was 1988, the year Hansen gave his global warming testimony to Congress.
The data needs to be adjusted… Then it will show warming…
Raw data is soooo old school Steven… 🙂
Alamists are in a state of total denial. An inverse correlation with CO2 levels.
And it’s not just Illinoise.
It’s pretty clear that temperatures have been declining in the entire US over the last century, despite the ipcc contentions. Note also that the US temperature much for complete and extensive than the more spotty global record. The global record is much more subject to error and agenda driven manipulation. In fact we can say that quite likely, in reality, global temps over the last century have been declining as well. This makes the warmist theory look totally ridiculous. Add in that there is no empirical evidence at all that CO2 affects climate temperatures, and the whole broken record fear mongering thing looks laughable: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WK_WyvfcJyg&info=GGWarmingSwindle_CO2Lag
A ten year rolling average used for the regression analysis would be a more suitable approach and the plot would be more visually clear.
I live in the north west part of Illinois which is farm land. Without much exception I have a garden every year. This year was pitiful. No real tomatoes to speak of, they look so stunted. In July when it did not warm up I kept plants in my greenhouse. Thank goodness I did that. I still have tomatoes growing as well as lots and lots of basil.
Yep, I have zero plans on staying here, even though this area escaped the last ice age.
I lived in various parts of New England. As soon as I got a chance I convinced hubby to move to NC I wish I had gone 200 miles further south to SC. Too many progressives here in NC.
