Rivers Of Stupid Progressives

In 1968, Enoch Powell gave his famous “Rivers of Blood” speech, warning that uncontrolled immigration from the Middle East would lead to disaster for the UK. Progressives labeled him a racist and ran him out of Parliament.

More Birts killed in DIY accidents last year than by immigrant terrorists in the last 50 years.

Irish terrorists killed more Brits than immigrant terrorists ever will.

More jews killed by other jews on Israel’s roads than by Palestinians.

If the immigrants don’t do DIY and don’t drive they’re ahead of the game.

The dead hostages are feeling much better after reading your DIY statistics Chris!

    • And a stupid progressive checks in at the pole position.

I was riding the London Tubes on the day of the second bombing in 2005. I barely made it out to Heathrow before they shut the tubes down. The airport was full of armed soldiers. I have spent hundreds of hours at airport security since 9/11, and parts of many cities in Britain have effectively been taken over by Sharia Law, complete with genital mutilation, misogyny, homophobia and effective slavery.

And your claim to know future statistics, puts you right up there with the stupidest people on Earth.

Comparing home repair to the repression of free speech and silencing the press, is just what I would expect from a progressive

    • Robertv says:

Don’t forget the Madrid bombing ! 191 death and 1500 wounded. You would think security measures would change after such an event but no. Today they could do it all over again. So why do I have to spend hundreds of hours at airport security when there is 0 control in metro and train? The only terrorism we have is State sponsored to take your freedom away.
Climate Change is Man made and CO2 is the cause, or don’t you trust the official government version ? Your government would never lie would they. That’s why you need that Smart meter.

      Fine example of whataboutery there.

You really haven’t a clue, have you?

    • nielszoo says:

Seriously missing the point of “terrorism,” which is amusing considering that almost all of the Progressive’s and Climateer’s tactics may also be defined as terrorism. A terror campaign doesn’t need to kill anyone to be effective.

Now, are you really that dense or do you get a bonus for getting the top spot and posting meaningless statistics? BTW, how many people were killed, worldwide, by CO2 last year? How about the last decade? Century? (For those playing at home that would be zero, nada, zilch, zip and/or none with the caveat that asphyxiation is possible in some industrial accident but that can happen with any gas.)

You missed the fact that Chris the Wind-barron has been complicit in the murders of people in the UK by the fuel poverty created by his damn wind turbines.

And how do you know this?

  2. Chris Barron says:

Misquoting Enoch Powell to serve another means isn’t the most sensible thing.

Enoch Powell did not warn about immigration from the Middle East, ever, not least of all because immigration from the Middle East was negligible.

The warning was about immigration from Commonwealth countries, and as he put it in particular ‘negros’

Not many ‘negros’ or commonwealth citizens came to the UK from the Middle East.

    • Trying to cover your ass after your initial idiotic comment about home improvement is not a sensible thing.

“”How dreadful are the curses which Mohammedanism lays on its votaries!
Besides the fanatical frenzy, which is as dangerous in a man as hydrophobia
in a dog, there is this fearful fatalistic apathy. The effects are apparent in many
countries, improvident habits, slovenly systems of agriculture, sluggish methods
of commerce and insecurity of property exist wherever the followers of the
Prophet rule or live. A degraded sensualism deprives this life of its grace and
refinement, the next of its dignity and sanctity. The fact that in Mohammedan
law every woman must belong to some man as his absolute property, either as
a child, a wife, or a concubine, must delay the final extinction of slavery until the
faith of Islam has ceased to be a great power among men. ”

      – Winston Churchill 1899

      • Chris Barron says:

I’ve never claimed to be completely sensible, nor have I misquoted a politician to make his words suit my personal agenda of hate……long may it last….It could be worse, i could claim to always be sensible and misquote politicians to suit my own agenda

While I have sympathy for the dead journalists and their families, However, I would personally stop short of using their deaths to advance my politics….that’s what progressives would do.

        • I narrowly missed seeing the Rivers of Blood personally in London in 2005. Grow up Chris.

        • While I have sympathy for the dead journalists and their families, However, I would personally stop short of using their deaths to advance my politics…

So you have sympathy for the dead journalists and their families. You really are a nice man, Chris, but I’m afraid quite misunderstood. People shouldn’t argue with you. They should let you speak and explain the sophisticated nuances of your world view. After all, only you can explain the intricacies of your thought.

I would personally stop short of using their deaths to advance my politics…

That is nice of you, too, but the word you were hunting for is policy, not politics. You see, when we experience what we regard as the results of wrong and destructive policies, we point out the cause and effect because we think it’s sensible to change or reverse these policies.

Nice people, of course, don’t like talking about that. I understand that. It is unpleasant and when the policies are really stupid, ghastly. After all, we have so many other pressing problems.

If the immigrants don’t do DIY …

Don’t worry that you don’t think to be completely sensible. Nobody’s perfect. You can still contribute by coming up with solutions to great societal evils like do-it-yourself home repair. We know you have the mental capacity to do that. Somebody must craft the regulations to stop the rivers of blood caused by power tools.

The term “Racist” is somewhat like “Denier” ; it’s so often used out of context because beliefs become obsessions ; at the expense of free speech , democracy & security…

    Another term “Political Correctness” is the headwater for these Rivers Of Stupid Progressives;
it also shows as a Society ; we haven’t learnt from our mistakes… human nature is flawed ; worse , when those in power , denigrate those that present the truth !

  6. Gail Combs says:

Steve, until Chris the Wind-barron’s daughters or granddaughters get grabbed at age 11 and are Groomed, Drugged and Raped for years by ‘Asians’ …

Until his girls are hooked on heroin and blackmailed with videos of their gang rapes…

Until he discovers that the political system he has loved and defended is accusing those abused and tortured girls of being sluts who had it coming to them when the crimes are reported, …

No no, no I am sure Chris would also turn a blind eye on his girls repeated rape and torture and “absolve the rape gangs of any criminal behaviour’ After all that is the Politically Correct thing to do and being Politically Correct is the most important thing not a child’s repeated rapes and torture (Yeah the girls are tortured too.) Chris certainly would not want his P.C. friends to accused him of being an Islamophobe now would he?

The 1400 Rotherham UK Gang Rape Scandal:

    * The video footage is used to blackmail the girls, who in any case, generally feel too ashamed to report the crime to the authorities. Most of them become addicted to the heroin whose purpose is first to make them resist less and secondly to make them keep coming back for more, despite their better judgement.

    * These practices have long been widely known to the police, to social workers, to child-care charities and local councils. All found an excuse to absolve the rape gangs of criminal behaviour by claiming that these sexual activities were consensual – ie that these girls, some as young as 11, were sluts who had it coming to them.

    * Each child is worth about £200,000 (around $300,000) a year to the gangs – which makes them even more lucrative than the drugs trade.

    * Money is also one of the reasons for the complicity of so many local councils. At a time of general spending cutbacks, money can always be found for jobs in the all-important “Diversity” industry. On salaries as high as £100,000 a year, senior council workers have a vested interest in not rocking the boat. Better to cover up these scandals and preserve the illusion of community cohesion then to have unwelcome public attention drawn to these unsavoury goings-on.

    * Does the broader local Muslim community know what’s going on? Of course. Remember, the 200 prosecutions so far have been brought mainly against the gang organizers – not against the many thousands of men who have participated in these rape parties.

    * Also, the Muslim community has deliberately exploited white liberal squeamishness by threatening race riots and by warning off police that if they try to take the matter further they will report them for “racism.”

    * Why haven’t more people in authority lost their jobs? Because time and again they deploy a formulaic excuse which they may well have learned at diversity workshops organised by groups like Common Purpose: yes there has been a scandal; it may be worse than we think; but only we have the training and experience to deal with it, which is why it is vital that we keep our jobs.

    * Why wasn’t this reported earlier? It was. But often the people protesting were members of the BNP or the EDL whose “far-right” taint meant that their complaints could safely be dismissed by the left-liberal Establishment as racially motivated and dishonest. The same “racism” accusation was levelled against anyone brave enough to speak out such as Labour MP Ann Cryer. Most people therefore found it more convenient to look the other way.

    * Rotherham – with 1400 girls abused – is just the tip of the iceberg. This has been going on, largely unchecked, all over Britain for a period of 25 years.

    The Reformation of Manners

….All the while, the entire apparatus of the state, from the political class to the police to the “child protection” agencies, looked the other way – for fear of appearing “racist” or “Islamophobic”. The BBC describes the predators’ actions as “brazen”, which it certainly was. They would turn up at children’s homes, select the ones they wanted, and drive off with them:

The carer, who wished to remain anonymous, claimed staff were reluctant to intervene in some cases for fear of being classed as “racist”.

So the individuals who presided over this regime destroyed the lives of 1,400 people in their care, and have paid no price for it. Indeed, some have been promoted, and put in charge of even more children: Sonia Sharp, who was head of child services in Rotherham, is now in an equivalent position Down Under for the entire state of Victoria.

Meantime, the fear of being perceived as “racist” prevails even in the news stories about how terrible it is that nobody did anything.

So just keep defending them Chris, until they come for your girls or decide to behead you. Gun/weapon laws only apply to the law abiding and the ‘Aisans’ obey a ‘Higher Law’ than your pitiful EU laws.

  7. These people are not progressives. They are idiots. I think I am going to stop calling myself a progressive, a tree-hugger, a liberal, what-have-you. I am someone who believes in truth, Nature’s wisdom, and a fair deal for all LEGITIMATE citizens. Label that however you want, but personally I’m done with labels. Putting people into categories serves no useful purpose.

      • nielszoo says:

Remember the confiscation of the label “Liberal” and it’s denigration to the term “liberal” (lower case for the low class it describes) was because the Progressives were so disliked they needed to re-brand themselves. A classical Liberal is somewhat to the right of both the Conservatives and Libertarians of today.

        • gator69 says:

As a Libertarian I am keenly aware of the difference between leftists and liberals. I judge people on their actions and agendas, not what they name themselves.

        • Gail Combs says:

          gator69 says:
….The two sides are not right and left, but Liberal and Statist.

And the Statist is all about the newest method of enslaving people, preferably with their permission. That is why the Statists love Islam. It promotes slavery.

In 1962 Saudi Arabia wrote a law abolishing slavery. As we all know laws do not mean diddly if they are not enforced.

Saudi Arabian princess was keeping slaves in California condo:
Meshael Alayban, 42, is accused of offering five women $1,600 per month to come work in America. When they arrived, she allegedly took their travel documents and made them clean and care for her for $200 per month.

Many Arabs keep slaves in the USA. It is a typical practice brought here from home as the second article below shows.

….the Global Slavery Index 2013, has been published this month. It disposes of the generally accepted view that slavery was abolished throughout the world in the 19th century. The survey in the Index ranks 162 countries and holds that almost 30 million people are physically living as slaves.

The largest numbers of slaves are in India (14.7 million slaves), China (3 million), and Pakistan (2.1 million). The lowest prevalence of slavery exists in Britain, Ireland, and Iceland….

Trafficking of migrants from Sub-Saharan Africa and Asia is widespread. Not surprisingly in view of the influence of Islam, the Middle East countries have the highest level of discrimination against women. They have a high level of forced and child marriages, and also a considerable exploitation of trafficked women in forced prostitution and as domestic workers. Some of the countries, including Egypt, Syria, and Morocco have passed laws to limit slavery but they are not enforced.
A related issue is the large number of migrant workers in Middle East countries. Foreign workers constitute between 40-90% of the populations in Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Israel, the United Arab Emirates, and Kuwait. While these workers may not be technically enslaved, they are often subject to controls of various kinds…..

The worst ranked Middle East countries are Sudan, Libya, and Saudi Arabia….
          http://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2013/10/slavery_in_the_world_today.html

The Saudi Gazette published a disturbing article the other day in which a number of Saudis talked about relations with their foreign servants – and defended what amounts to slavery.

The article highlights one of the many iniquities in Saudi Arabia’s “sponsorship” system for employing migrant workers: the practice of confiscating worker’s identity documents so that they can’t “escape”.

The word “escape” actually appears 20 times in the article in connection with workers leaving their jobs – an interesting reflection on the way many Saudis view their employees and the lack of trust that often exists between them.

The paper quotes Suhaila Zain al-Abideen – described as “a human rights activist” – who opposes the idea of letting expatriate workers keep their identity papers”

“Whenever the expat worker has his papers with him, he may not hesitate to escape whenever he has the chance,” she said.

Al-Abideen also warned that housekeepers might commit a crime inside the household they are working in or steal some items before running away.

She said expatriate workers may move freely inside the country or travel to their home countries if they have their identity papers with them. “Many of the house helps come to our country with the sole purpose of stealing and running away,” she said.

The article, which is sub-headed “What will happen when you allow your employee to keep his identity papers”, cites two examples of Saudi-employed drivers who left their job and took the car with them. (Both cars were later retrieved, according to the report.)

….It doesn’t seem to have occurred to the Saudi Gazette to ask any migrant workers what they think of this, but in the comments thread below the article several of them have their say. One writes:

“am one of the expats. i won t run if my former employer treat me well, did not abused me at work. imagine a 3 storey house with 2 young boys ages 5 and 3 to look after one of them is autistic i do all the household chores everyday alone i used to wake up 5am and sleep around to 2am the next day. lack of sleep i eat good meal twice a month i mean meal with rice. everyday my stomach only have coffee in the morning and water the whole day thats the reason why i left my employer.”

          Another says:

“I myself is tripped by the sponsor who never kept his word even he is not paying our basic salary and he owes me huge amount …”

          Another:

“i am a doctor … my passport is with the sponsor, and my sponsor is MOH [Ministry of Health], if i have to go i will go. y hold my passport, its giving this country a bad name …”

I would say that Enoch Powell’s “Rivers of Blood” speech was spot on. He saw the repercussions of immigration and the “misconception of the realities than is entertained by those who vociferously demand legislation as they call it “against discrimination”” In reality it made the native born ” a persecuted minority which is growing among ordinary English people”

http://www.sterlingtimes.co.uk/powell_press.htm“>About the “Rivers of Blood” speech by the Late Enoch Powell

parts of Enoch Powell’s actual speech. this was in 1968 the history surounding this speech was “The United Kingdom attracted immigrants from throughout the British empire: Indians and Pakistanis came to Britain from the 1950s on, Bangladeshis from the 1970s. France, Germany, and the Netherlands also attracted immigrants from their former colonies.” link Many of these people would be Muslim.

“Like the Roman, I see the River Tiber foaming with much blood”
The supreme function of statesmanship is to provide against preventable evils. In seeking to do so, it encounters obstacles which are deeply rooted in human nature. One is that by the very order of things such evils are not demonstrable until they have occurred: at each stage in their onset there is room for doubt and for dispute whether they be real or imaginary. By the same token, they attract little attention in comparison with current troubles, which are both indisputable and pressing…..

….Here is a decent, ordinary fellow Englishman, who in broad daylight in my own town says to me, his Member of Parliament, that his country will not be worth living in for his children. I simply do not have the right to shrug my shoulders and think about something else. What he is saying, thousands and hundreds of thousands are saying and thinking – not throughout Great Britain, perhaps, but in the areas that are already undergoing the total transformation to which there is no parallel in a thousand years of English history. In 15 or 20 years, on present trends, there will be in this country three and a half million Commonwealth immigrants and their descendants. That is not my figure. That is the official figure given to parliament by the spokesman of the Registrar General’s Office. There is no comparable official figure for the year 2000, but it must be in the region of five to seven million, approximately one-tenth of the whole population…..

Whole areas, towns and parts of towns across England will be occupied by sections of the immigrant and immigrant-descended population….

t almost passes belief that at this moment 20 or 30 additional immigrant children are arriving from overseas in Wolverhampton alone every week – and that means 15 or 20 additional families a decade or two hence. Those whom the gods wish to destroy, they first make mad. We must be mad, literally mad, as a nation to be permitting the annual inflow of some 50,000 dependants, who are for the most part the material of the future growth of the immigrant-descended population. It is like watching a nation busily engaged in heaping up its own funeral pyre. So insane are we that we actually permit and pursued with the determination which the gravity of the alternative justifies, the resultant outflow could appreciably alter the prospects….

There could be no grosser misconception of the realities than is entertained by those who vociferously demand legislation as they call it “against discrimination”, whether they be leader writers of the same kidney and sometimes on the same news papers which year after year in the 1930s tried to blind this country to the rising peril which confronted it, or archbishops who live in palaces, faring delicately with the bedclothes pulled right up over their heads. They have got it exactly and diametrically wrong. The discrimination and the deprivation, the sense of alarm and of resentment, lies not with the immigrant population but with those among whom they have come and are still coming…..

They now learn that a one way privilege is to be established by act of parliament; a law which cannot, and is not intended to, operate to protect them or redress their grievances is to be enacted to give the stranger, the disgruntled and the agent-provocateur the power to pillory them for their private actions. In the hundreds upon hundreds of letters I received when I last spoke on this subject two or three months ago, there was one striking feature which was largely new and which I find ominous. All Members of Parliament are used to the typical anonymous correspondent; but what surprised and alarmed me was the high proportion of ordinary, decent, sensible people, writing a rational and often well-educated letter, who believed that they had to omit their address because it was dangerous to have committed themselves to paper to a Member of Parliament agreeing with the views I had expressed, and that they would risk penalties or reprisals if they were known to have done so. The sense of being a persecuted minority which is growing among ordinary English people in the areas of the country which are affected is something that those without direct experience can hardly imagine….
