Latest From The Presidential Race

Republicans are running two Hispanics, one of the most successful businessmen in the world, a black brain surgeon, and a woman CEO.

Democrats are running a sociopath who was too dishonest to investigate Nixon, and a former mayor of Benghazi on Chesapeake Bay.

  1. Don B says:

    Speaking of Presidents…
When Obama dishonestly says climate change is impacting the country, some people believe him.

“Ten Western mountain towns feeling the effects of climate change are launching a campaign that targets the coal industry, seeking hundreds of millions of dollars a year from companies to help communities adapt.”
    http://www.denverpost.com/environment/ci_28042037/western-towns-hard-hit-by-climate-change-unite

They may not have heard that Obama gave China his permission to keep building coal fired power plants.

What is Bernie running as, party-wise?

  3. omanuel says:

What a sad, sad day for America when ordinary crooks have more credibility than presidential candidates.

We didn’t get into this mess overnight, and we cannot get out of it overnight either.

  4. Ira says:

I am drawing a blank: who is the businessman (Trump)? also, what about Rand Paul?

  5. omanuel says:

I bear a special responsibility for the current sad state of science and government having evidence that data were manipulated, adjusted or ignored for forty years before Climategate emails surfaced in late Nov 2009.

I just could not imagine that this deceit was directed from the top.

    • omanuel says:

This is why I am now reluctant to criticize Michael Mann, Phil Jones, NOAA or NASA. The fault is their supervisors.

      • darrylb says:

Oliver, I have to disagree with you on this one.
Mann, a young brash big time scientist wannabe, tortured the scientific
data to make it come out the way he wanted to IMO satisfy his ego.

Jones, another narcissist stated he lost all the raw temperature data for
the center of world temp records.
We both know, from early on to always keep and never erase data,

Not keeping raw data is scientific heresy.

The list of scientific crimes can be integrated from zero to infinity.

We need the qualities of Spock and Data
in the climate science, and other sciences, community.

        • omanuel says:

Thanks. In my opinion, Michael was following instructions. I recognized and explained the real problem to almost every member of Congress forty years ago:

The US Congress allows the US NAS (National Academy of Sciences) – a private, self-perpetuating group – to review the budgets of federal research agencies for Congress.

NAS members use their control over budgets of federal research agencies to direct public funds to their friends and former students that agree with their “scientific” conclusions.

      • higley7 says:

omanuel said, “Michael was following instructions.”

It is the duty of mature, responsible adults NOT to do illegal acts just because their boss says to do them. Morals should dominate. Just as a soldier can disobey orders when the orders are clearly illegal—it is their duty to their country NOT to comply. Thus, those who alter and dishonestly adjust the temperature data are equally culpable as are those who ordered it.

If I was ordered to do dishonest things by my boss, it would be a clear sign to find another job as well as consider which authorities to report it to, if needed, as I would not know if my boss went ahead and did the dishonest deed on his or her own.

        • omanuel says:

          I agree with you, but . . .

anyone who has a job now is probably working for Big Brother!

The path out of this morass may be:
          1. To accept that we are all in this mess together and
          2. To avoid blaming others for helping the world’s only employer – Big Brother

        • darrylb says:

Of Course all of what we are saying are manifestations of
          that which Ike warned.
Regardless of the exact nature of how Mann came to do the H.S.,
NAS to a large degree controls the purse strings, and therefore
the nature of the endeavors of climate science.

How an organization of that former
magnitude can make the statement ‘The science is settled’
is absolutely laughable, if it were not so sad.

—and how they came to publish online the Anderleg et al
496 names on a blacklist is abominable
We need to support scientists like Will Happer who quit the NAS
on both ethical and scientific grounds

  6. Mickey says:

Zeifman didn’t fire Clinton, he wasn’t her supervisor, nor did he have the authority to do so.

    • At this point, what difference does it make?

      • Thomas Englert says:

She could not speak that clearly, her tortured comment was “what difference at this point does it make?”

    • Gail Combs says:

…I’ve decided to reprint a piece of work I did nearly five years ago, because it seems very relevant today given Hillary Clinton’s performance in the Benghazi hearings. Back in 2008 when she was running for president, I interviewed two erstwhile staff members of the House Judiciary Committee who were involved with the Watergate investigation when Hillary was a low-level staffer there. I interviewed one Democrat staffer and one Republican staffer, and wrote two pieces based on what they told me about Hillary’s conduct at the time…..

….Today, given the much broader reach of CainTV and yet another incidence of Hillary’s arrogance in dealing with a congressional committee, I think it deserves another airing. For the purposes of simplicity, I’ve combined the two pieces into one very long one. If you’re interested in understanding the true character of Hillary Clinton, it’s worth your time to read it.

As Hillary Clinton came under increasing scrutiny for her story about facing sniper fire in Bosnia, one question that arose was whether she has engaged in a pattern of lying.

The now-retired general counsel and chief of staff of the House Judiciary Committee, who supervised Hillary when she worked on the Watergate investigation, says Hillary’s history of lies and unethical behavior goes back farther – and goes much deeper – than anyone realizes…..

The liberal news media are going to cover-up this information like a cat covering smelly feces.

      • darrylb says:

        Gail,
        Now you have done it.
Because of you I am going to be staying up all night reading this.

        Thanks anyway

        Cheers

  7. rah says:

The democrat bench is very weak after Hillary. If she goes down they will lose and the press won’t be able to make enough difference to prevent the inevitable.

  8. darrylb says:

The more I listen to Ben Carson, the more I like him.
I would like him first as VP then as president. If he is one the ticket, I
would actually get out and campaign. I do not usually do that

  9. Winnipeg Boy says:

Just look at the evidence. Chem-trails in the sky above those innocent young african americans caused them to misbehave. Lets give them some space and a job and a hug and some vegetables and some rainbow flags and some phones and some money and….

Good News Everyone! Taxes are for poor people!!!
“I love it when rich folks tell me that we should pay more taxes, or that the wealthy should pay more taxes but then they don’t. We’ve heard for years about Warren Buffett owing $1 billion in back taxes, that didn’t stop him from campaigning for higher taxes in 2012 alongside Barack Obama.”

“This past weekend Bloomberg has a great story on how George Soros built his fortune using tax loopholes and then moved his money out of the country as that loophole was closed.

Bloomberg details how Soros was able to defer taxes in such a way that his multi-billion dollar empire would have been worth much less if he paid taxes like everyone else. Then, when he was going to have to do that back in 2008, he bolted with the cash.”

You are a great wordsmith. Made me chuckle. Despite losing my family and I have totally enjoyed our season tickets for the new NYCFC team playing at Yankee Stadium. You gotta love soccer fans, the party never stops!

She sounds like a model politician to me.
