Cross posted from my new blog : Heavy Precipitation Events Are Not Increasing In Texas | Real Science
The usual crew of climate clowns are talking nonsense about Texas weather again.
“As a scientist, I think it is essential to connect the dots between climate change and the increasing risk it poses to our families and communities,” said Katharine Hayhoe, an atmospheric scientist at Texas Tech University. “Keeping our mouths shut on what the data is telling us, even if it’s in fear of vicious reprisals, is like a physician not telling a patient they have a dangerous condition just because they’re afraid of the patient’s reaction.”
What the data is telling us, Hayhoe said, is that climate change is altering the risk of many weather extremes, flooding chief among them.
As a scientist, Andrew Dessler — a professor of atmospheric sciences at Texas A&M University — agreed with Hayhoe’s analysis of climate change’s role in the Texas flooding. While he noted that it will take about a year to conclusively determine if climate change worsened this event in particular, he said he “wouldn’t be surprised” if it did. “These are the kinds of changes we expect to see in a warming climate,” he said.
Four years ago, Dessler said Texas would be “hot and dry for the rest of the century.” Last month Hayhoe was warning of ongoing drought. These people have no idea what they are talking about. The heaviest rainfall events are not increasing in Texas
Texas temperature is not increasing.
When it is dry, Hayhoe and Dessler blame it on “climate change” When it is wet, they blame it on “climate change” They suffer an affliction which was identified as early as 1871.
http://www.pbs.org/newshour/bb/environment/jan-june13/keystone_02-18.html – PBS NewsHour, Feb. 18, 2013, Bob Deans, Natural Resources Defense Council: “…. Judy, we just finished the hottest year on round in this country. We lost 50 percent of our corn across the heartland, 60 percent of our pasture lands. We had ranchers liquidating their herds from the Rocky Mountains to the Ohio River Valley because they couldn’t afford to feed their cattle anymore…..”
Parched bone-dry land from horizon to horizon. But when the water recedes from areas where today’s news shows cowboys herding cows across knee-high water and free grass will be growing out the wazoo, it is pretty much a guarantee that the same Bob Deans will declare this ‘calamity’ as absolute proof of ……………. something.
Well-this article about how corrupt science and scientist have become should be very interessting. And this article is not about some tinfoilhats or climate deniers(whenever government and media create such words to stigmatize and ridicule people you know somethings absoltuley wrong)
This article is quoting two of the most prestigious medical journals
http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2015-06-01/editors-world%E2%80%99s-most-prestigious-medical-journals-%E2%80%9Cmuch-scientific-literature-perhap
Just one quote:”perhaps half of scientific literature may simply be untrue”
Half? If that’s a best guess, I wonder what the real number is?
dude-
I’d never ever expected that a prestigious mainstream scientific journal would even admitt that 5% of scientific literature is crap,
therefore this 50% thing is an extremely remarkable outbreak of honesty
(and for our arguements it does not matter wether 50 or 90% of scientific literature is crap as 50% is a very strong number.
BTW- i’m starting to think that this ommanuel who is posting a lot of alternative scientific stuff here is much closer to the truth than mainstream science)
“That’s some catch, that Catch Climate Change.”
WRT Joseph Heller.
It covers everything. From another earlier PBS NewsHour report, http://www.pbs.org/newshour/bb/weather/july-dec12/weather_07-10.html July 10, 2012: “… NOAA has issued a report attempting to assess the role climate change, including human factors, played, if any, in six global extreme weather events in 2011. About one of those, the report asked if the human influence on climate made the 2011 Texas drought more probable. It concluded that it did. …”
Wait for it, we’ll have another NOAA report out soon that says AGW makes flooding in Texas also more probable.
“While he noted that it will take about a year to conclusively determine if climate change worsened this event in particular, he said he “wouldn’t be surprised” if it did.”
Christ. How can you even THINK that you could conclusively prove something like that, no matter how confident you are in your assumptions?
The mind boggles. Seriously, this has gone far beyond farcical.
Anybody who reads that insane statement from “the Aggie Joke” should step back and contemplate just how insane these people are. This guy is selling VOODOO.
“The mind boggles. Seriously, this has gone far beyond farcical.”
There’s a name for it, ” Circle … “
With Mann in the center.

In my opinion, there has been a volcanic eruption off the coast of Oregon. Evidence of this series of strong tremors of the earth.

Excellent that you respond to the Hayhoe and Dessler misinformation. Keep it up.
