Pentagon : Britain To Be Siberian In Five Years

My favorite appeal to authority from progressives are the military/intelligence ones. (Please excuse the oxymoron) Check out this mindless Pentagon insanity from 2004.

A secret report, suppressed by US defence chiefs and obtained by The Observer, warns that major European cities will be sunk beneath rising seas as Britain is plunged into a ‘Siberian’ climate by 2020. Nuclear conflict, mega-droughts, famine and widespread rioting will erupt across the world.

The findings will prove humiliating to the Bush administration, which has repeatedly denied that climate change even exists.

An imminent scenario of catastrophic climate change is ‘plausible and would challenge United States national security in ways that should be considered immediately’, they conclude. As early as next year widespread flooding by a rise in sea levels will create major upheaval for millions.

Senior climatologists, however, believe that their verdicts could prove the catalyst in forcing Bush to accept climate change as a real and happening phenomenon. They also hope it will convince the United States to sign up to global treaties to reduce the rate of climatic change.

Can Bush ignore the Pentagon? It’s going be hard to blow off this sort of document. Its hugely embarrassing. After all, Bush’s single highest priority is national defence. The Pentagon is no wacko, liberal group, generally speaking it is conservative.

You just can’t make up insanity like this.

Imagine a world without global warming. It would be horrific. Think of all the hurricanes we would be experiencing right now.–Hurricane%20Luck/id-8ac15cf3c8e5469b819a64bb690f66d6

I guess that means the EPL will be relocated to North Africa when England is sent into an Ice Age in 2020. If better bring forward my trip to Europe.

Yeah, people just can’t seem to get their heads around the connection between cooling and drought and hurricanes and severe weather. So counter-intuitive. But warm brings moisture, and cold removes it.

There may be problems in Britain and Europe, but they are not the result of climate change. If there are problems in these areas they will more than likely be the result of misguided legislation put in place at the insistence of the progressives and environmentalists. Progressives and environmentalists need to create a crisis so they can first: claim they were correct in predicting these catastrophic calamities and second: deny they had any responsibility in creating the mess. I am always gob-smacked at how easily progressives and environmentalists can lie and then get away with it.
