Lake Mead came up about a foot…
..but Lake Powell is so full it’s about to crest

I don’t understand why they don’t release more water??

Unlike “Children Won’t Know What Snow Is” , and the ever-popular Permanent Drought in Texas, the political alarmists have some control over water supply in Taxifornia and thus have some control of the media narrative.

When something political doesn’t make logical sense it usually pays to follow the money and see who benefits.

In the case of the “Permanent Drought of Taxifornia”, I suspect someone who’s made some strategic “campaign” contributions aka bribes will profit handsomely from the new water rules that get hammered down the throats of the tax-paying population. I could be wrong….. Yet I doubt it will be far off the mark.

Powell is 84 feet below full pool (3,700 feet vs 3614) – that’s a huge amount of water, >10MAF. Need an abnormal rain/snow year to re-fill the system.

Upon completion of Glen Canyon Dam on September 13, 1963, the Colorado River began to back up, no longer being diverted through the tunnels. The newly flooded Glen Canyon formed Lake Powell. It took 11 years for the lake to rise to the high-water mark, on June 22, 1980. Since then the lake level has fluctuated considerably depending on the seasonal snow runoff from the mountains.

        Is this new math? 1980-1963 = 11?

Regardless, it shows that it takes a very long time to fill Powell using the Colorado, and that we have just over 50 years of data (depending on who is doing the math).

Love the song, but having lived there, it is BS. Still, one inch being a record is amusing.

      • gator69 says:

Actually, I think the song is quite accurate…

Seems it never rains in Southern California
Seems I’ve often heard that kind of talk before
It never rains in California, but girl, don’t they warn ya
        It pours, man, it pours

Climates are chaotic, and nothing like what grantologists and King Arthur say they are.

My fit of “California Dreaming” landed me out in Santa Cruz in December, 1982. I’m not sure if there was an El Nino going on, but it seemed to rain nearly every day until some point in April, when the sun came out and stayed out for months. What I recall clearly is that, on the day the sun did finally come out, everyone walked about with smiles pasted across their faces. Before that it was never-ending mildew and yes, at times it did pour.

Just as the extreme drought of 1976-1977 was followed by torrential rains and mudslides, we could see mudslides this winter, however then it could flip right back to drought, as the PDO sinks to the heart of its “cold” phase.

A Russian Professor Zharkova recently reminded us the Sun may be influencing Earth’s climate, an elementary fact every school child would have grasped before Stalin won WWII and united nations and national academies of science.

This is the CREATIVE FORCE Big Brother tried to hide after WWII:

Here are data BB‘s puppet scientists ignored and won’t discuss:

AGW (Anthropologic Global Warming) is the latest in a ~500 year effort by foolish world leaders to hide a FORCE they could not control after Copernicus reported a giant fountain of energy at the gravitational center of the Solar System in 1543.

Atomic bombs at the end of WWII revealed the fountain’s source of energy, but sovereign nations and national academies of science united into a giant, world-wide Orwellian Ministry of Consensus Science (UN)Truths on 24 Oct 1945 to prevent public knowledge of NEUTRON REPULSION, the Force of Creation & Destruction of Matter in cores of galaxies, ordinary stars, some planets and all atoms heavier than ~150 amu (atomic mass units), including U & Pu atoms that:

    1. Vaporized Hiroshima & Nagasaki on 6 & 9 Aug 1945 and

    2. Induced insanity (loss of contact with reality) in humanity

FEAR, driven by Aston’s warning that Earth might be converted into a star [1], convinced leaders of independent nations and national academies of science to ignore the basic tenets of democratic government and science, and the sage advise of:

_ a.) Marie Curie: “Nothing is to be feared. It is to be understood.”

_ b.) Max Planck [2]: “There is no matter as such !”

_ c.) Paul Kuroda [3] when viewing Hiroshima’s ruins in Aug 1945: “the beginning of the world may have been just like this.”

Now as NEUTRON REPULSION is revealed as the energy used to power the cosmos, the Sun and to endow us with “inalienable rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness,” . . .

the remainder of Max Planck’s 1944 speech [1] assures us, There is no matter as such! All matter originates and exists only by virtue of a force which brings the particles of an atom to vibration and holds this most minute solar system of the atom together . . . We must assume behind this force the existence of a conscious and intelligent Mind. This Mind is the matrix of all matter.”

We humans are each products of a FORCE guided by a conscious and intelligent Mind that world leaders cannot control or manipulate:

That is why we can relax and know Big Brother will be defeated in this re-enactment of the classical battle between good and evil.

Climate is getting strager and stranger. While in some parts of the world their are record rainfall, in Europefor example, we have extremely high temeperatures. During that time, scientist keep explainig what climatology and weather patterns are, although it seems that weather does not allways follow the predicted patterns: http://oceansgovernclimate.com/dr-tim-ball-on-generalization-specialization-and-climatology-does-it-mean-he-explains-what-climate-is/.

    • gator69 says:

Climate is not getting “stranger and stranger”. In order for climate to get “stranger”, it would first have to be “normal”, which it is not and never has been. Climates are chaotic, just like weather.

    • shazaam says:

Those “permanent drought” wash-outs are the worst.

All of the precipitation doesn’t count, do floods don’t really happen.

Without the permanent drought in Taxifornia, what do the fraudsters have left?

      – Children know what snow is.
      – The Arctic is covered in ice.
      – Hurricanes aren’t.
      – New high temperature records (unadjusted) are not being set.

The current level of “climate science” fraud would make a Senator blush. (As the president nods in approval)
