The fraudsters at Climate Central used a cherry picked start date of the 1970’s ice age scare, and massively tampered data to come up with their scary red map. The actual measured data shows less than half as much warming since 1970 as their claim.
Starting in the cold 1970s was a blatant choice to defraud the public.

About a year ago, we said that the global warming scare is not about stewardship of the environment. Consequently, the annual corn harvest withered from more than 1.5 million tons in 2000 to 600,000 tons in 2010. Wheat production also fell sharply, from 309,000 tons in 2000 to 27,000 tons in 2003 to roughly 18,000 tons in 2010. The 2015 harvests were hardly better for either crop.
Meanwhile, next door in Botswana, a nation with a similar climate and natural resources, food production has increased by 29% since 2004 while declining 9% during the same time in Zimbabwe.

I’m glad you found this, Steve, I was going to send it to you via Twitter. Climate Central takes government money, so in my opinion, they could be taken to court for fraud. They are essentially acting as participants in the marketing wing of the Climate Industry, and engaging in fraud in the hopes of pressuring legislators to demand investment in said industry (GE windmills, brand X solar panels, etc). It is 100% fraudulent advertising, supported by tax dollars. It burns me to the core.

I moved to MN in 2000. I have only known the weather here for that stretch of time. Winters have gotten markedly colder. This winter is quite pleasant; but that is weather, not climate.
With the exception of 2012, the lake water does not get as warm as it did 10 years ago. Does the DNR keep historical data on water temperature? A JJA average temperature by location might be a good correlation to actual temperatures and lose points on R squared analysis to reported temperatures. As long as those don’t get ‘adjusted’ due to fish farts or whatever they come up with.
These catastrophists don’t believe in cycles, or cycles within cycles. Makes you wonder how they get through the day.

Sooner or later those who worship at the church of environism with extremist AGW sect, will lose followers, but unfortunately not before many people are severely hurt.
I see two very bad outcomes of it all.
1) People will lose trust in all scientists including painstakingly honest ones.
2) Serious environmental problems, of which water tops the list, where it is, or more importantly where it isn’t and also what is in it. (think Detroit)..Aquifers are being depleted!

You are right. Serious environmental problems – like the depletion of deep-seated aquifers – will be more difficult to address when the public realizes AGW is a scam.

Hey Robertv! They may have had some reporting stations taken offline there. One of the most common causes of temperature spikes is having stations no longer reporting.
