Rearranging Deck Chairs on The Global Warming Scam Titanic

Hayhoe and Mann have me blocked on Twitter, but they appear to have responded to my post yesterday highlighting one example of their perfect record for mispredictions and junk science.

Their reputations are indeed sinking, as two of the most visible players in the biggest scam in science history.

Perhaps she would prefer to talk about Texas drought ;-)

    • Colorado Wellington says:

“It’s snowing in Colorado, so all the dismissives are out in force.”

I remember that it was dry in Texas, so all the cultists were out in force and nodding furiously.

      Our annual reminder:

      They are full of it.

    • Colorado Wellington says:

When people say climate change is happening because it’s dry where they are …

      • I have Netflix, so I watched the first show and then posted this comment on their website:

“If you want to improve your understanding of science don’t watch this show. Bill Nye is completely clueless about science. He has bought into every loony aspect of climate alarmism.
He starts the show by claiming that sea levels will rise by several feet by the year 2100 so that Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago will be flooded. This is based on embarrassing junk science published by NOAA. In the real world sea levels will rise less than one foot per century just as they have for the last 8,000 years. The show goes down hill from there….almost entirely non-science (=nonsense).”

Few of the comments had anything positive to say about Bill Nye or his show……….see here:

        • This is the difference between superstitious mysticism and science. Bill Nye and the Union of Confused ex-Scientists and current Political Parasites all point to the unknown future and prophesize. Tony Heller points back to verifiable thermometer readings of weather stations working since 1920, and to satellite sensor readings and concludes the prophesies are just as false as the superstitious conclusions that preceded them in successive Great Disappointments. Science is knowable.

  2. RAH says:

In addition to the snow in Colorado it’s been raining in Texas, Oklahoma, and S. California so what the “dismissives” are dismissing is your professional credibility. Perhaps it’s time for you, Drexler, and Mann to move your scam to Florida? You all seem to have great precipitation making abilities and they need help down there.

    • bleakhouses says:

Until next year when the flood waters are in the streets of Miami just like they predicted.

      • The Watcher says:

That’s been happening for 100s of years

        • RAH says:

Yep. I predict the sun will rise tomorrow and it will light up the earth. Fact is they were doing street fishing in Miami before any of them, Mann, Hayhoe, or Romm were born.

    • Colorado Wellington says:

The evidence is undeniable. We must employ the well-documented Gore Effect for the good of Americans. Let’s drive the whole herd to Florida. It’s the patriotic thing to do!

“This thing of denying science … to deny what scientists or scientific evidence is showing is inappropriate, and as I said earlier, to me when I get wound up, it’s unpatriotic!”

      —Bill Nye

      • Gator says:

I wonder how many of these sheepflakes walked, or rode their bikes to protest fossil fuels? And most of their clothing appears to be synthetic. But hey, this is the same demographic that signed a petition to ban water, these idiots will sign their own death certificates if they think it advances the green (red) agenda. We simply need to convince them to stop exhaling, explaining that this will reduce CO2 emissions, and save Mother Earth.

        We just need a model…

      • arn says:

Funny that people like Nye call you racist/nazi etc when you are a patriot,
but as soon as it serves their purpose they call people unpatriotic to defame people.

And i’m pretty sure those protesters didn’t just arrived with the bike.
They also are hard working people which have all time in the world to protest and they made their clothes by themselves.

(at least they”d been smart enough to replace their “stop global warming” protest signs with anti fossil fuel signs because they knew that even the small children would llaugh at people so dumb to protest against warming, while freezing.)

But i’m pretty sure after finishing protests these parasites
went to their fossil fuel cars and drove back to their fossil fuel heated homes and they had a hard time to fool themselves that they’ll keep having a save and warm life
when no more fossil fuels are used.

    • arn says:

The most fantastic thing for climate scientists about living in a huge rich country with 50 states(besides huge fundings)
that they”ll always find at least one state which is currently having a drought :)

    • Latitude says:

      move your scam to Florida…

Too late, the scam is already here.
I’m in that bright red….it rained on me all the way to Miami and back yesterday.
Must have had a good one at the house while I was gone, everything flooded.
Rained hard again last night…and again this morning right before noon.

We’ve all been complaing about what a wet winter and spring this has been…..No one here has had to water anything all winter…..but we’re bright red!

    • cdquarles says:

The thing here is that the index is keyed to the local average and most years are not going to be average. They’re going to be either above average or below average.

If I am remembering correctly, most of FL gets 60 inches of rain a year.
What that picture is showing is that they’ve gotten 40 inches instead of 60, or some other similar amount relatively far below local averages. For parts of GA and SC, their rainfall amounts are similar to mine. Locally, this year is above average, so no more red. Just a bit of orange where the local amounts are still slightly below average, carried over several years.

  3. RAH says:

Shoot, Drexler should be Romm. Trying to compose before one is awake doesn’t work.

  4. Richard Keen says:

Tony, up here in the hills 4000 feet above those threatened wetlands, I just measured 31.9 inches of snow. Very similar to a storm on this date 34 years ago, which checked in with 27.5 inches.
So Colorado’s springtime climate in 2017 is lots of mild sunny days interspersed with rare snowstorms. Back in 1983 the climate was lots of mild sunny days interspersed with rare snowstorms.
So, Hayhoe and Mann, what’s changing?

  5. Russell Cook says:

I’d forgotten that I was already blocked by Hayhoe. But I got my dig in at her and Mann with my own Titanic movie quote, via one of their other Twitter repliers:

And in case anyone forgets where the line was:

  6. arn says:

Pretty stupid analogy in every way.
    1) “climate deniers” don’t have a ship.
They don’t come up with claims which can not be proven.
They don’t predict things which don’t happen.
They don’t tamper data and don’t use politically correct invented words to stigmatize the opposition.
The AGWorms have a ship= AGW.
It is their god, their Titanic which is threatened.

The only thing which is sinking,
or to be more precize:which is buried in snow right now
is their global warming or to be more precize:their global tax
    and their fundings.

The titanic was created, just like the AGW myth was created by men.
And the AGW is as true as the unsinkability of the titanic

2)The titanic crashed thx to bad “driving” because people were impatient.
The deniers are not the impatient ones in this game.
They are not busy in shutting down coal plants and building windmills.
They just want to keep things running as they were used to.
They are riding the boats usual way-not the dumb, new, impatient one the titanic guys have been using.

And the AGW titanic has hit many many icebergs called climategate, wrong predictions, tampered data, satellite data and the only thing that keeps their titanic from sinking is their shamelessness while being buried in a thing from the past they try to turn attention away from the thing from the past(because it is proving their lies)
and make another prediction that may or may not happen in the next 50-10000 years.
It is not other peoples titanic that is sinking.
    It is the AGW one.

And please:While protesting please just wear shorts and t shirts in the snow to show everyone how incredible warm AGW has become.

  7. LexingtonGreen says:

I love it that you are getting under their skin. What we really need is for the Trump administration to let you annotate NASA’s ‘Evidence for Climate Change” page with facts.

  8. Psalmon says:

When talking about medium term predictions, I hope the demise of the Great Lakes is not forgotten. Hayhoe was part of numerous publications on Climate Change and the Great Lakes (found one in 2003) that talked about water levels, temperature, lack of winter ice…ALL of which have defied doomsday. Ice has since set records, temperatures therefore reset again to normal, and water levels returned to above average (Superior is about 4″ from record highs and Michigan is about a foot above average.

It’s just a never ending ambulance chase…the media is a non stop 24 hour cycle and these events run on decade and half century and century and millennium time scales. Their siege will never stop.

    • RAH says:

They scurry from one subject to another never being held accountable for their repeated failures and always having their opinions broadcast as if they are some authority. These “climate scientists” and favored democrat politicians like Hillary Clinton have much in common.

      • Psalmon says:

Never accountable…heard just today Al Franken say 4 deg C warming by 2100…Interestingly NASA’s Hansen forecast 4 deg C warming by NOW back in 1986, so the nominated Deputy of Interior, knowing nothing, gave the safe answer blah blah blah…So it’s just accepted that 4C by 2100, when we’ll all be dead. JUST ONCE would like for someone to say: “Well Senator that was forecast for TODAY in testimony to Congress by the same people 31 years ago…and it didn’t happen, so we should take that into account.” Franken would probably have a stroke. “What’s your SOURCE!”…”The NY Times Senator. I’ll get you a copy.”

    • Theyouk says:

Never mind the dredging (‘expanding the drain’) that’s happened over the last 20 yrs in the St. Clair River….which makes Lake Michigan’s recovery all the more remarkable!!!

  9. JT says:

It’s interesting that neither tried to defend their data and conclusions with fact.

  10. John E says:

This story is trending on facebook… I would love to see a response to this. I bet if someone with resources looked at this islands past history we would find times this happened in the past…

    • gator69 says:

First of all, there is no such thing as “perma”frost on this planet, this is a misnomer. There are zero permanent features on the surface on the Earth.

Secondly, when you place man made structures in areas of frozen ground, it accelerates any melting.

  11. Latitude says:

arrogance is claiming you understand the weather enough to predict the climate….
….foolish is when you try to and consistently fail

  12. charles nelson says:

The Titanic was sunk by an Ice Berg.

  13. Oliver K. Manuel says:

Tony Heller, I appreciate your efforts to restore society’s contact with reality.

Regretfully, it now appears that world leaders made a conscious decision to

    1. Sacrifice the benefits of abundant nuclear energy after WWII,

    2. Save the world from possible worldwide nuclear annihilation.

Otherwise, leaders of the scientific community would deny this error.

    • gator69 says:

Oliver, Tony already knows all about your Spamalicious claims. How about sticking to the script? And by script, I am most definitely not referring to your personal and quasi-Quixotic content.

May the Force be with you!

  14. AndyG55 says:

Meanwhile, in Africa, COAL is NOT a thing of the past.

It is a great look into the FUTURE.

  15. gregole says:

Ok Warmunists, relax and take a deep breath. Everything is just fine. In fact, all that man-made CO2 choking the atmosphere is really just plant food:

And the climate? It’s just fine. From sunny southern Arizona.

Enjoy the optimum while it lasts. We will recall these as the happy times.

  16. AndyG55 says:

TH, I think you made a mistake..

    In the sentence……

“Their reputations are indeed sinking, as two of the most visible players in the biggest scam in science history”

    it should be “RISIBLE” …

  17. RAH, May 19, 2017 at 3:42 pm,

You are right. We really need Hayhoe here in Brevard county. I live on a golf course where the water hazards are shrinking, the fairways are dried out and the greens are dying! We need rain and lots of it!

To make matters worse, brush fires are causing I-95 and other major highways to close……………..when will it end?

    • gator69 says:

Looks like you are about an hour and a half south of my mother’s home, and near where my old boss just retired (good riddance). I was down there last month helping mom deal with the drought, and making sure she was ready to bug out if need be. She lives on 20 acres with enormous pines (heaps of highly flammable pine straw), and a shrinking lake. I am hoping mom got some much neede rain yesterday.

Hope all is well in GC land.

      • Thanks for your kind thoughts, esteemed gator. It would be hard to beat last week when this proud parent pinned USAF 2nd Lieutenant bars on #6 son.

        • Colorado Wellington says:

Congratulations to both of you, GC.

Good news on a bad news day.

        • cdquarles says:

My youngest should be LT now, in the Navy.

        • gator69 says:

Awesome GC! My father, brother, nephew, and uncle were all Air Force. Pinning on those bars is indeed a proud moment for both parent and child, and country. If you are going to be in Florida for awhile, we may have to meet for a brew someday when I’m down visiting my mother.

          All the best!

    • RAH says:

Yep! Latitude is getting some rain down south but most of the upper half of the state with the exception of the pan handle is pretty dry and forecasts indicate it will remain so through the traditional rainy season.

People need to realize the Palmer Drought Index is based on departure from average precipitation for the period. Thus places that get significant rain can still show up in drought if what they have received is well below what they usually do that time of year.

  18. pseudo-intellectual says:

Oh, great… every time someone makes a C-R-A-Z-Y claim we’re going to be reminded of the Titanic.

  19. Andy DC says:

Snow in Colorado during late May does not prove that global warming is not happening. But it must certainly does not prove that it is happening. After all, it is the alarmists that have been saying for decades that the ski industry was doomed. Wrong as usual! It looks like skiing this year will continue well into summer at many resorts!

It is the alarmists that have made a quite extraordinary hypothesis that global warming will soon be catastrophic. Thus it is up to them to prove such a far out hypothesis, not up to the skeptics to disprove it. And saying that 97% of scientists believe their hypothesis (a complete lie) does not prove it to be correct.

  20. Steven Fraser says:

Speaking of snow, Greenland just finished two very strong days of accumulation, it should be tailing off tomorrow, with the next accumulations ~ the 25th. So far this season, >700Gt.
