None of the US is currently experiencing severe drought. CO2 is at 410 PPM.
Compare with May, 1934 – when half of the US was experiencing severe or extreme drought. CO2 was 310 PPM.
The drought was worldwide.
22 Jun 1934, Page 3 – Hartford Courant at Newspapers.com
But since 1988, scientists have been 99% certain droughts are caused by CO2 levels above 350 PPM.
24 Jun 1988, Page 4 – The Courier-Journal at Newspapers.com
And since then, the US has been having the wettest years on record.

Experts also say that global warming and the ozone hole killed us decades ago.

Climate scientists have no idea what they are talking about, but it is extremely racist to question anything they say.
And speaking of government fraud and stupidity, in 1934 the U.S. government confiscated all gold from private citizens. It became illegal to own gold, and you could no longer redeem dollars for gold.
They fixed the prize you got for your gold,
and after it became illegal the gold prize went up 25%.
Government was never about freedom
it is about how to control We The People
To control you have to know everything and direct taxation was introduced
Slavery was never abolished it just looks different
It is no coincidence that the IRS was created in the same year as the FED.
The creation of both institutions by the same guys who are now called deep state.
IRS and Federal Reserve created about 1913-14, see graph for the rest of the story
Shifting way off topic from the very beginning…..Why?
The connection is legitimate but too obtuse….
The “banking holiday” order complete with fines and imprisonment took effect on Inauguration day, March 4, 1933. Every bank in the nation had shut down after Herbert Hoover issued an Executive Order allowing Governors of States with income taxes to inspect the federal income tax returns of corporations. There were other prohibition and tax-related causes, but that was the big enchilada. The Hoover Admin had drafted a similar EO just before Inauguration Day and FDR’s staff adapted that somewhat. The text is in the Hoover Presidential Papers.
Would not be surprised to see some of Texas turn dark green in the next issue.
BTW good possibility for a major tornado outbreak today and tomorrow down that way. https://www.spc.noaa.gov/products/outlook/
As with any forecast the further out they project the more likely the change. In this case though I would not be surprised to see some red pop up in tomorrows forecast when it become current. As of now the US is running about right at the average for tornado incidence so far this year.
Rah: Just now 1:00 p.m. In DFW. Thunderboomers started where I live at 1:00 a.m.
So far today, 2.5 inches of the wet stuff measured on my gauge, and more forcasted.
Heard about serious tornadoes up in the panhandle on News talk 1290 AM and lots of hail in the golf ball to tennis ball size. I live stream 1290 when driving frequently when driving.
Got the call Tuesday at 15:00. I had been out edging, picking up sticks, hooking up the hoses outside and playing with my Granddaughter. Driver that does a milk run had somehow misread his qualcom and went on duty 20 minutes before he should have there by negating his 10 hour break and so he couldn’t run.
I bobtailed up to Angola, IN and hooked to his trailer and took that up to TENNICO up in Marshall, MI. There I dropped and hooked. Took that trailer down to Jeffersonville, IN (down by Louisville, KY) and got unloaded there and then drove back to the terminal in Anderson. One of those all night deals that screws up your internal clock. Thus here I am wide awake and posting at 01:05 on Thursday morning.
If they leave me alone today I’m going to mow my yard again. Took me 6 hours to mow, trim, and lawn sweep my acre on Sunday because the grass was so tall and it’s ready to be done again already though I won’t have to sweep up the cuttings this time.
“A dramatic loss of ozone over Antarctica proves the GH effect is real …”
What is real is the farcical ignorance of climate pseudo-scientists.
Climate change has obviously dried up the Puget Sound region and soon millions of climate refugees will be on the move south. If only we had acted sooner.
There are many reasons for regional drought including even man’s influence, e.g., the Aswan dam on the Nile reduced cold spring water flow into easter Mediterranean eliminating buildup of east flowing clouds over the hill region of Israel resulting in expanded desrt areas. And with over 70,000 dams across USA similar regional droughts were exacerbated in some s3nsitive regions as well as massive agricultural improvements in other areas due to stored water and irrigation. Other factors are at play at Puget Sound but little or nothing to due with CO2 IMHO…
OT – But I cannot resist posting this from the comments over at WUWT…

Berkley Earth looked at tens of thousands of weather stations and concluded that urban heat wasn’t distorting the overall figures and that there was a clear warming trend. continuing to cherry pick urban weather stations and claiming this shows the evidence is not there for warming is not science or an adequate refutation of the scientific evidence.

You know, I always thought “griff” aka Edward Griffin was dense, but this comment of his really takes the cake.
By his comment, Griff shows he is incapable of assimilating new information, even when it comes from an official source.
That’s the mark of a paid troll. Now, get the hell off my site. I’m done being nice to you.
Stupidity is exhausting, and Anthony finally had enough of Ms Griff’s.
Griff is so ignorant and stupid that she did not realize she was stepping into dangerous ground. Anthony was selling home weather stations and thus poor siting of official weather stations was a natural to become Anthony’s original shtick in the climate wars and he’s spent a lot of time and effort on it over the years.
I would not be surprised to learn that getting NOAA to study it and finally admit the problem was due to Anthony’s efforts over decades and several others that have come along afterward to expose and detail the problems at so many sites.
I think it’s safe to say that BEST is dead. But now we have English majors writing BS claims about so called UCI’s. There is no such thing as a UCI, there are however small areas within urban landscapes where UHI is diminished. UCI is as real as our acidic oceans.
I am still surprised that Griff does not get the most simple things.
If people wanna stay warm outside at night and without caring about the fire
they put some stones around the fire to heat them up
and then put the hot stones around them before sleeping –
that keeps them warm for hours.
The same principle with urban heat.
One thing is reading BS another thing pretending that it is science and one can not expect that the center of idiocy
called Berkley would ever admitt the heattrap it as it would give sceptics
a huge plattform to attack.
Berkeley Earth is corrupt but not stupid.
Edward Griffin can successfully pretend to be Ms Griff online but that’s about it. Expecting hir to “get it” is too much.
Perhaps Ed, aka “Ms Griff” to some around here, will simply come back as “Mr Sir”.
Snowflakes attacking snowflakes…
Guéret (France) (AFP) – Around 30 people were treated for hypothermia at an outdoor techno music festival in France after unexpected snowfall left many ravers sheltering under survival blankets distributed by the Red Cross.
Around 10,000 people attended the unauthorised Teknival 2019 festival in the central Creuse region at the weekend, where temperatures dropped to -3 degrees Celsius (27 degrees fahrenheit) overnight on Saturday to Sunday.
Around 30 people were treated for hypothermia at the scene and two were taken to hospital, local officials told AFP, with the several centimetres (inches) of snow turning the festival camping experience into an endurance test.
Organisers put a heated tent on the muddy hill-top site, which belongs to the French military, and the Red Cross distributed 500 survival blankets to revellers at the scene.
Global Warming is really a hell for snowflakes.
Now imagine a world where AOC’s green new deal is reality-hypothermia would be the main result for dead snowflakes.
So the human race is doomed, again?
I eat doom for breakfast.
Drought? I drink drought at tea.
Alarm? I bite off pieces of alarm and spit confidence.
Tony, I really appreciate the effort you put into demonstrating the temps, drought index, rainfall and storminess as it is actually happening. These charts are really useful in conversation, I send many people here to read.
The ever-entertaining James Hansen provides the perfect backdrop for mirth and worth.
The IPCC’s AR4 says
For a future warmer climate, the current generation of
models indicates that precipitation generally increases in the
areas of regional tropical precipitation maxima (such as the
monsoon regimes) and over the tropical Pacifi c in particular,
with general decreases in the subtropics, and increases at high
latitudes as a consequence of a general intensifi cation of the
global hydrological cycle. Globally averaged mean water
vapour, evaporation and precipitation are projected to increase.
Precipitation Extremes and Droughts
Intensity of precipitation events is projected to increase,
particularly in tropical and high latitude areas that experience
increases in mean precipitation. Even in areas where mean
precipitation decreases (most subtropical and mid-latitude
regions), precipitation intensity is projected to increase but
there would be longer periods between rainfall events. There
is a tendency for drying of the mid-continental areas during
summer, indicating a greater risk of droughts in those regions.
Precipitation extremes increase more than does the mean in
most tropical and mid- and high-latitude areas.
That’s right, they say, “For a future warmer climate … Globally averaged mean water vapour, evaporation and precipitation are projected to increase. ”
And then they say, “…there would be longer periods between rainfall events. There is a tendency for drying of the mid-continental areas during summer, indicating a greater risk of droughts…”
It looks like the IPCC is trying to make a sow’s ear out of a silk purse.
If it get wetter, they will say “we were right!”
If it gets drier, they will say “we were right!”
Where’s Karl Popper when you need him?
Water Dept revenue shortage
Rains and floods
Water restrictions eased
Water usage increases
If it was only the rates …
Among “lunatic” conspiracy theorist
the terms “problem,reaction,solution”
are well known for decades.
Create(or wait for) a problem(crisis),
exploit the emotional reactions of people
by implementing laws(you have written before the crisis happened)
they would never acceppt otherwise.
This was used with Gladio 1&2,
it was exploited with 911(patriots act + bombing of innocent countries=2 birds with one stone)
Even the creation of the FED was result of some staged banking crisis to justify the creation.
Result=16 years after the creation of the FED the biggest crisis ever occured.
We are so very grateful in Texas! What a beautiful map that is!!! Praise God for rain that fills the ponds and creeks and reservoirs and with grace is seeping down to fill the underground sources too!
Now if you could only keep the progressive butt heads from invading and secure the border Texas would have a very bright future.
I pray we can! The legislature is in session now, and it is as badly converged by the progressives and RINOs as ever. They like to brag about no income tax, but the fact is our property taxes are among the highest in the nation and it all goes to waste. We were promised they would get rid of the vestiges of Robin Hood, but they have no intention of reducing spending or taxes. :-(
Yes, its a great map. Much, MUCH better than it was in 2013 and 2014.
Rainfall in the last 5 days has raised Texas Reservoirs another 1.222 million acre feet of water. Total storage is now 36,312,737 acre feet. Many reservoirs are above the conservation storage level.
‘Officially’, based on conservation storage only, we are at 90% of capacity. However, the current Total storage is significantly above the 28,732,007 total conservation storage. You do the math: 36,312,737 acre feet in reservoirs that have conservation storage for 28,732,007 acre feet. Like I said in my last post on the topic, the system does not count water in the flood pools (above conservation storage) toward the %full.
More rain coming. We already have 44.791 cu km (tonnes) of it here.
Simple thought. With the increase moisture, there will be higher humidity. With the same heat input and higher humidity, lower temperatures than compared to drought conditions.
There was a bad drought in 1930. A map and much information about is is now online in the 1930 volume of the Presidential Papers of Herbert Hoover.
The 17 May 2019 email from The Global Warming Policy Foundation linked to and published this post, so it has been seen by many more than “the usual deplorable suspects,” as we are known among the Alarmist Mafia. Great work Tony!
