Today was the earliest autumn day on record which Boulder did not get above freezing, Our peak temperature this afternoon was 27 degrees. The previous record early cold was 34 degrees on October 8, 1985.
Average temperature for the date is 69 degrees, and warmest October 10 was 88 degrees in 1910. In a few hours, a 16 year old middle school dropout will arrive to lecture us about how we have overheated the atmosphere.

NASA/NOAA will start the trend line on the 10th of October 2019, with the 27 degree temperature and forecast an extreme rise in the rate as it is to get into the 70’s this weekend. The records prior to the 10th will be erased.
Believers will say that this is a result of extreme climate.

Just a very untrained eye observation, but it seems the temps before 1950 are more densely packed. Is that lack of variability or less accurate measurement? After 1975 the temps seem less dense – higher highs and lower lows. Is that more variability or more accurate measurement – i.e. satellite?
