    I think that the NSIDC would call that the 15th lowest in the last 15 years.

    Oops!
    What did Man and the others say about the Arctic ice….oh yeah ‘it will be gone by 2008, 2010, 2012, 2018, etc etc etc’.
    I laff every time someone says ‘Global warming is killing us”!!!!
    Trust me…COLD is ten times worse.

    that’s a neat site. I went back in time to 1981 and it said no data. Interesting as, Mr Heller, often posts the Arctic ice graph from the first IPPC report on page 224, fig 7, dating back before 1979.

    No trend in the past 40 years, according the NASA data.

    Yeah, you would have to say that the comparison shows no change in Arctic Sea ice between the two years. But it appears that we are getting very close to the condition of around 1200 AD when the Arctic Sea froze between Greenland and Iceland, and the Scandinavian colonists in Greenland could not be rescued and died.
