SEC “Climate Risk”

This sort of mindless gibberish will have people wondering for decades what they were putting in the water in the year 2022.

” The required information about climate-related risks would also include disclosure of a registrant’s greenhouse gas emissions, which have become a commonly used metric to assess a registrant’s exposure to such risks. “

More gummint folderol (bravo sierra) to crush free enterprise.

Two ways to respond to this rule, if implemented. Ignore it completely and refuse to submit anything, or, submit such long winded, verbose, convoluted and virtually unintelligible reports, of such great length, so as to swamp them in paperwork, until the second coming.
For handy home hints on the latter, view all episodes of, “Yes Minister” and “Yes Prime Minister”.

When the Chinese write the history of the decline and fall of the West (if they can be bothered), they will pay scant attention to nonsense like this.

  4. JohnNewton says:

To Quote “a registrant’s exposure to such risk.” What possible use is this? They seem to forget that the rest of the world is producing CO2. So the risk(in their minds) exists even if you produce zero carbon. Surely anyone proposing to build or run a business below 1oofeet above sea level will be at risk. The wording is all wrong. Not to mention lunacy.

I still want to know who ordered the cops to stand down. Talking to a Sheriff locally yesterday and he said the same. He said there’s no one telling him to stand down while kids are being shot.
In our local schools, the sheriff has a day office at the only entrance point to the school. There’s at least 2 sheriffs officers, and an armed school resource officer on campus at all times. I volunteer at least 2 days a week in the afternoon for an hour to walk the grounds with Eli the pit bull as a deterrence for any criminal that might contemplate something at the end of the school day. There’s always a parent or retired grandparent walking tne grounds as a deterrent at some point. The only cost to the school is the armed resource officer. The Sheriff doesn’t charge the school a dime, with the only cost to the school is of office space at the front of the school.

“In our local schools, the sheriff has a day office at the only entrance point to the school.”
Is there any information that a deputy or school resource officer is visually scanning people as they enter?
Are there magnetometers set up at the entrances? Do they have drills where an officer walks a piece of iron pipe in through the entrance?
I seem to recall that it was reported, that at Columbine, when everything started, one of the school resource officers was outside of the school chain link fence sitting on break at a table talking to someone.
Reasonable opportunities to stop a shooter have been trashed so many times over so many years that it seems essentially hopeless.
Poor churches seem to have had slightly better success at stopping mass murderers.
Schools and churches should investigate what steps cash depositories have had to take to protect their clients’ property and employees’ lives.

Because an armed public can’t easily be loaded into box cars.
    Never forget.

Do these morons realise that they all breath out 40,000 ppm of CO2 every time they decolonise themselves to speak followed by re-insertion… if you don’t believe its all about the money….. China… making CFC’S and then destroying them to claim billions in carbon credits (imaginary numbers!!)
