    The joke is on him.
Always disappointed when a celebrity I’ve liked turns out to be some sort of brain dead liberal or becomes woke.

Say It isn’t So Steve Miller!!! He should come to Central Minnesota, we can’t even break 83 in the next 10 days and the crops have never looked better at this time of year. fyi I’m going to an outdoor concert tonight at 7 pm in Sauk Rapids Minnesota, (unless it’s canceled at the last minute due to climate change lol). I’ll be wearing pants, not shorts, it’s going to be in the 60s.

  3. Reid says:

Climate change is a lame excuse for poor ticket sales.

For a band that originates in San Francisco heat and forest fires are for sure a new and threatening thing.

But maybe the expected attendence was that of a Biden 2020 campaign
and floods and forest fires(how do these 2 go together? ) and heat are codewords for arthritis, dementia and incontince.
Only young Punks can poop their pants on stage and get away with pretending It’s cool.

The most interesting part is that a Tour usually happens in several different places.
While I do not doubt the weather prediction skills of softrockbands weeks and months ahead,
I can not understand why they didn’t just skip those places that will be affected by floods, heat and fires and play only in safe cities?
Or how about delaying the tour for a few month?
Fires and heatwaves are rare in November and December.

4 years ago during peak covid they didn’t had so much fear when they played at a concert.

don’t forget earthquakes Arn. San Francisco seems to be the epicenter of a hell hole and such a scenic spot to put that hell hole which shows that God has a sense of humor… dark humor. I have a suggestion for Steve Miller, since he’s from San Francisco and San Francisco never gets hot, Steve, put on a charity concert to buy the homeless new tents!!!

      • arn says:

He definitely does not mind earthquakes.
During the last one in SF 3000 people got killed and 30000 buildings destroyed(numbers would been at least 10 times higher if Gavin Newsome were governor back then)
        – all SF heatwaves combined haven’t done so much damage I’d guess.

        My pro-tip for Steve Miller.
        Tour with Taylor Swift.
The professional teenager has made 150 concerts during the last 2 years and overall close to 1000 lives performances(some women simply can’t keep their mouth shut).
And not a single flood, fire or heatwave related cancelling.
This incredibly brave woman has a sixth sense to avoid the omnipresent climate catastrophe with rainbombs and stuff.
As 99% of all climate catastrophies only happen in the media
and Swift is all the time in the media her skills to evade AGW is incredible.

You see – I saved the Steve Miller tour here for free,
yet they won’t listen and cancel the tour.
As if the whole climate related tour cancelling is as phony as AGW itself.
And then they will complain about crazy climate deniers like myself.

I think we must consider that Steve Miller got this part right….. his audience is safer for having him retired. just off the top of my head I can think of three reasons his audience would be safer staying home. 1. with the concert canceled you lower your chances of being crushed in the crowd. 2. no concert equals no ear damage from loud music. 3. no concert means no chance of an audience member being hit with flying debris when the band members smash their guitars at the end of the show. lol. FYI that actually happened to my cousin at a Motley Crue show. They smashed their guitars at the end and my cousin got hit with a splinter. ps my cousin never mentioned what the weather was like that day. lol

      • arn says:

And I thought Mötley Crüe(finally a chance for me to correct some wrong”spelling “, even if it’s only röck döts) are only good at smashing actresses and playboy bunnies.

  5. Steve who? I don’t find his name among the published climate literature.

    • Bob G says:

haha. that made me laugh. 🙂

    • arn says:

look up “Michael Mann’s Earth Band ”
      – and you will find Steve too..
He co-authored Mann’s peer reviewed works “Hahah, I’m a clown” ,”Hoax on the run”
      and “Do Wah Diddy Party”.

  6. oeman50 says:

At least he blamed it on weather and not climate change.

But I have to ask, what is different about weather this year vs. any year he went on tour?
Keep in mind he is 81 years old and just decided to not take any more chances in life.

  7. ThurmanZhou says:

It couldn’t be poor ticket sales, could it? Go on, take the money and run.
Or is it those missed afternoon naps? Darn, I can barely keep my eyes open.
I became a true believer in Climate Change this morning. It rained in the desert. What else could it be?

  8. conrad ziefle says:

I am amazed that playing a guitar in a garage is a prerequisite to high level intellectual thinking.

  9. Bob G says:

in the news…. near airplane collision at Minot North Dakota. I’m very familiar with the area. a fairly large commercial jet airplane almost collided with a B-52…. FYI b-52’s are based at the military airport north of Minot, ND. the public airport and the military airport are 8 miles apart roughly. so how could this happen?

  10. arn says:

Austria was hit hard by the climate crisis.
80 cm of the the thing of the past have hit Zillertal recently.
Snowbombs( I’ve got a copyright for this Mr Gore)
hit the Alps so hard including danger of avalanches, yet the MSM does not really care.

    • Bob G says:

Too funny Arn !!! lol. the Alps got “snow bombed”, Minot, ND almost got B-52 bombed when two airplanes almost collided yesterday and Central Minnesota is forecast to get rain bombed seven out of the next 10 days! this is leading to a climate crisis for our farmers as they will need to add additional storage for the coming bin busting crop!!

      • Bob G says:

unfortunately not everybody is lucky enough to get rain-bombed. story in the news, Kabul Afghanistan is running out of water. not because of drought as they are always in a drought, getting only 12 inches of rain a year. too much pumping is the cause. https://amp-cnn-com.cdn.ampproject.org/v/s/amp.cnn.com/cnn/2025/07/19/asia/afghanistan-kabul-water-crisis-report-intl-hnk?amp_gsa=1&amp_js_v=a9&usqp=mq331AQIUAKwASCAAgM%3D#amp_tf=From%20%251%24s&aoh=17531243292889&csi=1&referrer=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com&ampshare=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.cnn.com%2F2025%2F07%2F19%2Fasia%2Fafghanistan-kabul-water-crisis-report-intl-hnk

      • arn says:

Not the first time for a military vehicle to (almost) collide with a passenger jet this year.

I wonder if a mix of minority quota and ignoring basic rules and orders was again the cause.
(so far , and without even looking into the case I’d blame the air force again , as I guess the air traffic guys from the military have to deal with significantly less flights and stress, should have way more flexibility and have probably tools to directly contact civil planes and controllers,
civilians do not have vice versa ).

And you have a masochistic itch.
        Reading CNN articles
which call Kabul a modern city
and the standard catchphrases “health crisis, economic crisis, humanitarian emergency ” (of course not said by an Afghan but by a western chick) and ” climate change vulnerability ” ?

But nice to see how much 20 years of US occupation and three trillion dollars have helped Afghanistan.
No matter how bad a situation is.Once your country starts bringing peace, freedom and democracy things turn to the worst case scenario and the place starts to look like San Francisco(without Silicon Valley and DC that pays for everything).

But hey, Kabul University now has(had?)
a master degree in gender studies and parts of the Taliban
        believe in climate change –
and that’s the only thing that counts.

CNN should better ask why Blinken pulled out the troops from one day to another out of Afghanistan instead of an organized retreat which would have caused significantly less suffering for the people?

it appears that Tony may be be on vacation. I’m happy to fill in and add some new content to get our chatters going. I just came across a story about Huckleberries in season in Wyoming. it reminded me from about 10 years ago when I went to visit relatives who live in Columbia Falls Montana, which is on the west side of Glacier Park. my cousin and I went on a hike to a Forest fire tower which was located on the east side of hungry horse reservoir. we were driving on a remote Forest road and I noticed a half a dozen vehicles parked every here and there and I said to my cousin what the heck are they doing? he said they’re picking huckleberries. I said what the heck is that – I thought that was the name of a cartoon character, Huckleberry hound. lol. yeah that too but they’re real berries and they’re very good. we finally found the trail up to the forest Tower and had to park at the gate. we walked that trail maybe a quarter mile to get to the Tower and the whole walk we were picking berries and eating them. what a pleasant surprise they were so good! when we’re almost to the abandoned Tower we came across huge bear scat, probably grizzly. turns out the bears like those berries too and I thought might be a good idea to get back to the car. lol. https://cowboystatedaily.com/2025/07/20/its-huckleberry-season-but-dont-you-dare-ask-a-picker-where-to-find-them/

  12. Disillusioned says:

He’s an octogenarian (makes me feel old, I listened to him in high school) and I don’t blame him for not wanting to play outdoor venues this summer. My hat’s off to him for still getting out and playing at his age… . but, to blame a cancellation on a plethora of unrelated weather events is over the top and provides fodder for eco-fascists.

Come on, Steve. Fire your PR staff and start over. SMH

  13. Walter says:

I’ve been to multiple concerts this year. No extreme weather observed.
