Is the IPCC always right Brendon? Have there been any -gates in the IPCC? Is the IPCC 2500 of the worlds top scientists? Do all the scientists in the IPCC agree with the public predictions of the IPCC? Are there any scientists finding things to question about the IPCC?
What’s so cryptic about “Next time, think 3 times then post.”?
I’ll make it clearer.

I’m a southern boy and really dislike the cold and snow. Imagine my shock, SHOCK during the year I spent in Oslo Norway in the early 90s. I’m so happy I’m not there this year and upcoming years.
How dare you remind people of the stupidity of climate scientists and the gullibility of journalists working for the Independent. These people are merely acolytes in their new religion. I’m sure the High Priests such as Jones, Mann, Bradley, Briffa, Pachauri, Gore never said anything this stupid. Where are Revkon, Tamino, Connelly and Romm to defend them and explain that they didn’t get it wrong, this snow, like the sea ice, is an illusion which true believers cannot see.
Joking? No I really didn’t know Scotland had hills big enough to warrant a ski industry. In my part of the world the glossy brochures in the travel agency never have Scotland as a destination for skiers.
Hills? Scotland has mountains rise almost a mile directly out of the sea. The climb up Ben Nevis has nearly as much vertical gain as climbing the tallest peak in Colorado (Mt. Elbert) from the base.

What section of the IPCC report can I go to to find the claim that there would be no snowfall?

I get it now. Climate scientists can say any garbage they want to the press , as long as it doesnโt go in the IPCC report.

Steven, is that a double edged sword? A well honed one?
Anyhow, when I look at the first header “Hottest Year Ever: October Snow Blast Headed For Europe”, you make it sound as a contradiction and you know only too well that it isn’t. The hottest year can have both extreme heat and extreme cold in places. The heading is misleading and relates to Snow Forecast.com, a site that promotes skiing. All it shows is an area mostly consisting of Alaska-Siberia and Northern parts of Europe, predicting possible local snow falls between 0cm and 10cm. Not a snow blast, at best an early snow fall in some places.
The heading “Snow Falls Are Now Just A Thing Of The Past” is also misleading, baffling in fact. It shows a temperature forecast map from 18 October to 3 November which show temperatures below 0C in the Alps, Iceland, parts of Scandinavia and Siberia at 0c to -5C (all normal) and the vast remaining area at 0C to 15C, hence no snow, normal as well for Oct/Nov.
From the report this extract, “Heavy snow will return occasionally, says Dr Viner, but when it does we will be unprepared. “We’re really going to get caught out. Snow will probably cause chaos in 20 years time,” he said.”
However, to prevent misrepresentation, Dr Viner is not predicting chaotic snow falls, but that even lesser snow falls may be chaotic, because we’ve become unused to it and unprepared.
This is a beat-up conflicting climate and weather using deceptive headlines.
“In Scotland, the skiing industry is likely to experience more
f r equent snow-deficient winters, with adverse impacts on the
financial viability of the industry.”
Did the IPCC predict snow would be a thing of the past?

Why do people cling so tightly to the IPCC?
Did the IPCC predict snow would be a thing of the past?
Does the IPCC have anything to say about negative feedback from H2O?
Did the IPCC predict snow would be a thing of the past?
I don’t know. Does it? It’s good to bring up the IPCC and talk about it out in the open. Let readers learn about it.
Next time, think 3 times then post. Not the other way around. ๐
I am wanting to clarify if the thought of no snow was the consensus or just the thoughts of a small select group of scientists.
In the sections of the IPCC report that I have read I cannot find this claim.
Your reply is cryptic.
And you didn’t answer any of my questions about the IPCC.
If the IPCC reports are flawed why would you care if they make claims about snow or not?
Is the IPCC flawed?
I am wanting to clarify if the thought of no snow was the consensus
So the IPCC is the consensus.
But is there really such a thing as a consensus?

That was East Anglia, a key player in the IPCC.

No you’re quite right to hold these scientists to their word. I applaud you for that.
What I have pointed out is that the words of a few are not representative of the words of many.
Unless of course you can show us otherwise. ๐
I’m ready for the IPCC link whenever you are!!

Sitting here with the heat on in NE Oregon, Can’t wait for La Nina to have her

It was David Viner at CRU apparently. It’s terrible really. I’ll miss the white stuff when I’m in Europe. And the -15C heatwaves are blistering.
“Skiing is โdoomedโ โฆ so enjoy it while it lasts”
WOW I didn’t even know they had a ski field in Scotland. That will be missed in the decades to come.
I hope you are joking. You really have no clue what we are talking about?
Joking? No I really didn’t know Scotland had hills big enough to warrant a ski industry. In my part of the world the glossy brochures in the travel agency never have Scotland as a destination for skiers.

You really need to get an education.
Ben Nevis 1,344 metres – almost a mile. Gee how’d I never heard of that before!! I am soooo embarrassed.
And the Kiwis have a crack at us for our highest “hill” of just over 2,200 metres.
Brendon,
I’m deleting any more of your comments until you get back on topic with something useful to say. You are just spamming at this point.
You have a link talking about Scottish snow. I’m talking about Scottish snow. How’s that off topic?
Or do you mean the part where I wish to see if the “no snow” prediction is a wide-spread belief, or just a cherry picked quotation?
Brendon
You are beginning to sound like a whiny little kid.

He clearly was not predicting the heavy snow and cold during the last few winters, and particularly not early and late snows.
Steven, will you be reporting on the predicted Europe ‘”snow blast” even when it doesn’t happen? Just 3 weeks left to 3rd of November.
I posted about this cold blast last week on the article about the cold in Moscow ๐
If you keep an eye on the Weather ensembles they will often give you a good idea of cold patterns emerging in the UK.
