All things are possible, if you have faith in CO2.
As a scientist, I side with the data. Although, the study has to be kept in perspective, since the ice growth is not enough to cover the ice loss in the Arctic. This infers that while the local temperature at the Antarctic is cooler, the average global temperature is rising. Global warming studies have predicted for many years that the earth will experience dramatic changes in climate. This means that some places will get cooler and some will get hotter due to changes in the air and ocean currents. It has also been predicted that the earth will have more dramatic shifts in summer heat and winter cold, which have also been noted throughout the past decade. Therefore,it is completely plausible that the ice growth in the Antarctic is as expected within the global warming model.
We were warned not to eat from the tree of Antarctic sea ice knowledge, but now that we have sinned – only faith in CO2 can bring us back to grace.
Hot and cold running interference. 😉
‘Global warming studies have predicted for many years that the earth will experience dramatic changes in climate. This means that some places will get cooler and some will get hotter due to changes in the air and ocean currents.’
Solid predictions. Absolutely correct. A little on the safe-side however, as predictions go, since this has been earth’s experience for a couple billion years or so. And will continue for several billions years into the future. Still, refreshing to see ‘truthful’ climate science.
Five years ago, you heard nothing about cold being a part of global warming. The fact that alarmists have dramatically shifted tactics is very telling. No matter what happens, it is a result of global warming. Now we might freeze before we fry. You would think a 3 years old could see thru this utter nonsense.
I see he’s using the standard (Oh noes.. it’s all gone tits up) template.
“As a scientist, I side with the data. [ Insert stuff here] Therefore, it is completely plausible that the ice growth in the Antarctic is as expected within the global warming model.”
Waite a minute! There is something very wrong with that statement! This isn’t an acceptable explanation for record Antarctic sea Ice, It’s actually a twisted back-tracking distortion of perspective, a lie baked in half truths, and no mention of Anthropogenic CO2 as the culprit either, just the open suggestion that man’s to blame, with a play on the meaning of phrases “Global climate change” and “global warming”.
Unless the writer or blogger is prepared to cite *which* paper(s) or report(s) he refers to, the article can hardly be taken seriously. Writing “Scientists said…” seems to be a general excuse among pundits to make stuff up on the fly. The only literature he seems to have actually cited in his story is Al Gore’s An Inconvenient Truth.
“Global warming studies have predicted for many years that the earth will experience dramatic changes in climate.
This means that some places will get cooler and some will get hotter due to changes in the air and ocean currents.”
What sort of climate can we expect without ‘global warming’?
Warmists all seem to have a great talent for post hoc rationalisation.
So Al Gore, Branson, and Hansen trudging off to watch ice grow was all part of the plan….riiiiiight.
And HuffPo now supporting growing Antarctic ice as the norm? That works until you google the following and find 25,000 hits for…
