   Soon item 2 won’t contain the word “warming”, but they’ll still be pushing the same message.

   It won’t matter if we had the same extremes in the past, either; the message will be that we need to stop using fossil fuels in order to “calm down” the weather/climate. Mark my words.

   At least, that will be the case until the “we can control the weather” movement dies out, but that might not be for decades or centuries.

   We Canucks don’t talk about AGW. Yahoo does, though.

   Also, keeping those fuels in the ground will encourage natural seeping. That occurs all the time in the oceans – it must be Global Warming!

   They are only as good as the “consultants” they employ…
   Hey, wait a second…do not they give grants to these same scientists?
   So, they puppies have a vested interest!

   Not only can they not read scientific data, but these retrogrades seem to have forgotten that coal saved the forests, and petroleum saved the whales.
