The temperature in the interior of the Greenland ice sheet in mid-October is -54F.
James Blalog is travelling around the US telling people that Greenland is melting down.

A documentary exploring one photographer’s obsession with man in nature, Chasing Ice must be one of the most beautiful films of the year. But the raw splendor of ice, in the far reaches of Iceland and Greenland to name a few locations, belies a grim truth: global warming is real. As photographer James Balog pointed out at a special screening Wednesday night that included Harry Belafonte, Judd Hirsch, Israel Horowitz, Josh Mostel, among many others at the Museum of Art and Design, the public perception is that there is a debate going, but in actual fact the science on global warming is clear. The question is, what are we going to do about climate change while we have a chance?

ya…but the beer stays cold!!!
If you are freezing to death on the melting Greenland ice sheet…
“Go toward the Light.” (it’s fossil fueled)
…and you will be saved.
From the huffingtonpost, I see, and therefore just what I would expect: Hysteria, and contempt for the deniers of their holy truth. They are the epitome, the creme de la creme, the archetype, of the Insane Left.
It looks more like “called on account of darkness” would be more appropriate as the reason for the closing of the “Greenland Country Club”, though, based on the above photo.
There is nothing “we” can do to solve a problem that doesn’t exist. There is no global warming (it is now cooling), and if there were a warming planet, it probably would be attributable to the big orange ball in the sky, not some piddly human CO2 emissions.
It’s amazing how many otherwise rational adults have been bamboozled by the warmist carnival barkers. Indeed, “climate change” has become a secular religion; it must fill some antediluvian spiritual void.
Antediluvian?
Some nice ice crystal halos taken at Summit Station a week ago:

Terrible glare for golf.
Nice shot!

A sceptic stood up and was heard singing “there’s a hole in the theory, dear Liza dear Liza”
Looks like Chukchi course is now open.

Wait a minute…. that looks a like Hockey – Stick !
There must have been calibration or imaging mistakes in the earlier data, suddenly corrected
US Open champion and Olympic gold medallist Andy Murray and recently retired American Andy Roddick will play on a white court in an end-of-year exhibition event in Miami next month.

They practice for the Greenland Open.
+the polar bears again.
A leading authority on polar bears has said that rapidly melting arctic ice could lead to the extinction of the animals in the wild within the next three decades.
The comments were made this week by Nikita Ovsyannikov, who leads Russia’s Wrangel Island polar bear reserve. He told reporters from the Canadian newspaper the Edmonton Journal, “It is worse for Russian polar bears than the bears in Canada or Greenland because the pack ice is retreating much faster in our waters.”
Ovsyannikov told the paper that he expects the animals to disappear from the wild within the next 20 to 25 years, not only because their habitat is depleting but also because they’re forced to venture further inland, where they’re likely to be Hunted or Poached.

Record cold in Greenland is exactly what the models predicted, and fully consistent with a melting planet. Think how cold it would have been without global warming!
Regrettably, this sounds like Brenda Ekwurzel being serious.
And the cold snap would be worse if not for global warming, says Brenda Ekwurzel, a climate scientist from the Union of Concerned Scientists. In fact, she says, “Blizzards and big snowfalls are entirely consistent with global warming,” because warmer air traps moisture in clouds, leading to more intense blizzards.
One nice thing about Greenland weather is, they don’t seem to get that “too cold for snow” effect that seems to happen with ski resort mountains, for some reason
..”The question is, what are we going to do about climate change while we have a chance?”..
Didn’t all our chances run out 12 to 20 years ago according to the warmist soothsayers..?
