Halley VI research station, Antarctica – review
Its purpose is to study such things as the Earth’s magnetic field, atmosphere and the effects of climate change.
One of the motivations for building Halley VI is that Halley V was being progressively engulfed by snow, as were four previous stations built there since 1956.

“One of the motivations for building Halley VI is that Halley V was being progressively engulfed by snow, as were four previous stations built there since 1956.”
That is hilarious – especially considering the antarctic is in a warming trend induced death spiral – or is that the Arctic ? I never seem to get these things straight.
But something is in a death spiral isn’t it ?
Just proves they’re right – warming does indeed increase ice and snow – who’d a thunk it ?
