No mention in the press of the record cold at the North Pole, the large increase in Arctic ice extent over last year, or the record Antarctic ice extent.
Instead they made up a fake story about the North Pole melting and spread it all over the Internet.
Viral Melting North Pole Photos Not Proof of Global Warming, Scientists Say
Recently, concerns were raised over the supposed melting North Pole after webcam photos captured an ice-covered image in late April and a less-frosty, lake-looking photo in late July, in an article originally published by The Atlantic.
After Ferrell followed up with the North Pole Environmental Conservatory, he received an email reply stating that ‘”Given the excitement over recent images, we are putting the following write up with the images on our web site.”
The write-up clarifies that “The formation of melt ponds has always been a key feature of the summer season on sea ice.”
Additionally, they wrote, “…Melt ponds form every year, and considering Web Camera 1, the melt pond coverage at this location (the cameras and buoys have drifted to about 85°N, 5°W) looks pretty typical for this time of year and this location.”

BTW – the correct headline would read
Viral Melting North Pole Photos Not Proof Evidence of Global Warming, Scientists Say
Even the headline was an attempt to spread misinformation.

They have a spelling problem. VIRTUAL! The Virtual melting of the Arctic Ice a seen in the computer aided graphics generated to say the ice is melting.
vir·tu·al (vûrch-l)
adj.
1. Existing or resulting in essence or effect though not in actual fact, form, or name: the virtual extinction of the buffalo.
2. Existing in the mind, especially as a product of the imagination. Used in literary criticism of a text.
3. Computer Science Created, simulated, or carried on by means of a computer or computer network: virtual conversations in a chatroom.
As to option 3. I seems that the “climate scientists”/delusional idiots can’t even replicate their climate model fakeries if the simulation is run on a different model computer.

And they want everyone to trust their climate modeled consensus? What a pack of delusional idiots.
They even have problems replicating the run on the same computer. Some Realists have been telling them that for years. Now they finally did a study to prove what they have already been told.
Yes I do realize different hardware does things differently, I write control system software. However it is not difficult to ensure all computations (floating point and integer) are performed exactly the same way across hardware platforms.
And code optimization levels should be thoroughly tested before deployment. Though they likely just ticked the box for max optimization as there are no life-threatening issues if the compiler optimizer gets it wrong for a climate model.
That stuff is settled computer science. A bit of settled science the “climate scientists” never bothered to use apparently.
Yes, I was going to comment (“It is bad code, bad programming”).
I have asked friends and family if they have heard even one story about our current solar cycle, and not one has (aside from my brother at NASA). This is one of the biggest stories if our time, and because it could damage the agenda, the press ignores it completely.
Criminal.
