President Eisenhower Warned America About Michael Mann In 1960

“The prospect of domination of the nation’s scholars by Federal employment, project allocations, and the power of money is ever present  and is gravely to be regarded. Yet, in holding scientific research and discovery in respect, as we should, we must also be alert to the equal and opposite danger that public policy could itself become the captive of a scientific technological elite.”

  1. Sean says:

Just look at this administration and many in the liberal left. There is mutual admiration between powerful government figures and elite academics that goes way beyond climate science. We are in an era of credentialism. I don’t think either the power brokers in government or academia is remotely aware of how suspicious ordinary folks are this relationship or how resentful they are of it.

  2. gator69 says:

Amazing that the hippies of the 1960’s who told us not to trust anyone over 30 and not to trust the government, are now the danger they warned of.

    Pigs standing upright.

    • Sean says:

And ironically, it was called the “free speech movement”.

    • Jeff Simpson says:

That’s not fair Steve. Both my parents were “flower children” Neither of them believe this climate scam In fact they’ve retained much of their anti-Establishment attitude from that era

btw Michael Mann isn’t one of those “hippies of the 1960?s”. He was born in 1965

      • Jeff Simpson says:

Sorry Gator I thought you were Steve Goddard for some reason lol

        • gator69 says:

Hey Jeff! I should have said ‘radicals’, and not referring to Mann, but his governmental handlers. Radicals need useful idiots like Mann.

  3. Glacierman says:

I hope that the Elite part is rhetorical in Magic Mikey’s case.

  4. Andy Oz says:

    “Public interest” = Totalitarian State,

Gator’s “Pigs walking upright” is a cracker of a quote.
“There are none so blind as those that will not see..”

    • I can never believe anyone who hides behind a pseudonym . The world is in a mess because so many self professed intelligent people have , and are, telling lies . Many of those people continue to act on the theory that , ‘If you tell a lie often enough , many people will believe it .’

      • gator69 says:

Hey Malcolm! Maybe if you had family members in political positions that could be hurt by your comments, or if you do, maybe if you cared enough to protect them you would understand.

There is a long list of great men who used pseudonyms, and for good reason. I make no claims other than having family I love very much.

        Have a nice day.
