They must be getting a tow to Paulatuk so they don’t miss Reggie’s Lear jet and their ride home.
Their buddy Suzuki must be tuckered-out. Looks like they were slogging it again on the shoreline.
And by the latest plot, I think they’ve encountered an ice-jam and decided to backtrack a mite for a bit of shelter from the wind. I’d post a pic, but img tags seem to be filtered out.
Not really surprising. I expect they’ll continue their coastal trek down to Clapperton Island then nip across the bay.
Looks like they gave up an hour ago, and headed back north to shelter on the beach.

Oh well, at least they’ve have plenty of time for writing about how they’re seeing firsthand evidence everyday of man’s hand in the melting Arctic.
Someone at Google forgot the “scrub” the non-existent Arctic ice from the satellite image of Paulatuk.

The rowers first crossed the bay to Parry Peninsula on 26 August. Now, 5 days later, they have only just made it around the Cape. Oh well, at least the southerly will be blowing the ice away from them for a change.
I hope they are heading for Paulatuk to end this adventure (which probably has become a nightmare by now), and I hope that they actually get there safely. I sense some desperation.
They should end their journey in Paulatuk, the fossil fueled diesel-electric town provides warmth, food, shelter, communications and a health centre for green mainstream idiots like this.
At the rate they’re hoofing it, they’ll “pull” into Paulatuk next week. Maybe Friday.
Hang on – looks like they’re on the move again.

Vallely and the Arctic rowers were apparently stalked and attacked by a massive 100′ x 40′ deep ice flow that came out of nowhere and ran up their anchor rope in an attempt to sink them.
‘….we present such a small bull’s eye on such a massive target that the chance of a piece of ice actually hitting us seems very remote. Somehow this big chunk of ice has found us.’
The most logical explanation would be the evil Koch brothers submarine sneakily maneuvered the ice from the reverse cycle refrigeration plant at their (coal fired) underwater permafrost liquidation operation.

In true Arctic Explorer tradition, Valleley has left messages in PVC tube time capsules, on the beach at Sellwood Bay for his young daughters to find in case he does not come back or when they are grown.
I would have thought the massive sea level rise in the next couple of decades would have washed them away by then, but I am not a Climate Scientist.
