There are no fires burning in Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, Utah, Arizona, Nevada or Oregon, and US burn acreage is 40% below normal.

    There are some unusually strong early season storms coming into California within the next week. That should put an early end to the fire season in many places.
