WASHINGTON – Rep. Andy Barr, R-6th District, joined Friday with many other coal-state lawmakers in attacking the Environmental Protection Agency’s rules to limit emissions from new power plants.
“These greenhouse gas rules are designed to complete the job that years of regulatory attacks and delayed permits started: the elimination of coal from the energy marketplace,” Barr said in a statement. “The outcome of these ruinous regulations will be hundreds of thousands of Americans added to the unemployment lines and, in President Obama’s own words, electricity costs that will ‘necessarily skyrocket.’”

Obama is either: a comfortable western, climate change elite with ‘feel-good’ intentions or a genocidal eugenist malthusian madman, who has John Holdren and Ernest Moniz working for him.
Can’t quite work it out yet.
Lack of access to fossil fuels causing millions of premature deaths amongst the poorest of the planet http://hockeyschtick.blogspot.com.au/2013/05/lack-of-access-to-fossil-fuels-causing.html?m=1
Either way, he is completely unfit to hold any public office.
The community organiser.
Actually Obama was more of a community agitator employing skills learned from the Jessie Jackson school of shake down artistry. Obama is a smooth talking “Chicago Way” thug plain and simple.
Never thought I would ever think this way, but the incompetent Kenyan kind of makes one long for the horndog Clinton days, when at least the president pretended to feet our pain.
The Campaigner in Chief appears to be practicing a bizarre form of back-door reparations to soothe his half-black side….naturally at the expense of his white side. I can only find some solace in the fact that higher energy rates will impact, to a much greater extent, his entitled base (unions, the intentionally uninformed poor, students, etc) to a greater degree than his more resourceful detractors, which hopefully will lead to a further reduction in his support and the political future of fellow radical left-wingers.
He’s a Saboteur, plain and simple. And it isn’t his plan. He is clearly out of his league. It’s obvious he’s just a puppet. Here to destroy.

It is not just energy costs. Check your grocery costs, and compare them to previous years. And then get ready for more bad news, the worst is yet to come.
Grocery costs up as well because of rising fuel prices. For the ordinary Joe, here in the UK, anyway, you may just be able to afford food, heating and fuel. Inflation in these items has been at least at 10% and often as much as 15% the past few years. Fuel poverty rates are rocketing in the UK, and the have a Climate Change and Energy Minister who is an idiot. And that gives idiots a bad name. Surely the deliberate destruction of your economy is an act of treason?
When Bush was in office my grocery bill actually went down for a few years, due to competition, cheap fuel and no threat of Obamacare. What used to cost me $2, now costs $3, and prices are steadily rising.
Ray Kurzweil was predicting that health care costs would soon start to plummet based upon our understanding of the human genome. He predicted that most diseases would be engineered out and/or curable, leaving hospitals to care for accident victims. Now that Big Brother controls care and research, and WE THE PEOPLE pay for it, does anyone believe we have an advocate? Governments are not problem solvers, as Rahm said, “You never let a serious crisis go to waste”.
Meanwhile Germany has test-fired five new coal-fired power plants with a combined capacity of around 4 GW, and have 20 new coal plants planned by 2020. Direct result of their Green Energy “Energiewende” disaster, that ‘surprisingly’ can’t uptake base-load energy requirements after they shut down their Nukes.
Back to coal. Green Logic. Oh dear. http://climatism.wordpress.com/2013/08/19/obamaclimate-and-europes-green-energy-basket-case/

Rising unemployment and energy costs makes it a win win situation for the Obama administration.
The real question regarding Obama is: Who selected him, protected him, promoted him. Because they are still around and will be in 2016 and beyond.
Good Forbes article concentrating on how green energy madness is killing the European economy: http://www.forbes.com/sites/jimpowell/2013/09/19/how-europes-economy-is-being-devastated-by-global-warming-orthodoxy/
An excerpt:
[Green energy is] killing European economies. Electricity costs in Europe are more than double the cost of electricity in the U.S. High electricity costs make it difficult for businesses to operate.. Their cost of electricity is high, and they might not be able to pass it on to consumers when consumers are free to patronize businesses operating where electricity costs are much lower. Many businesses under pressure are likely move to a lower-cost location.. Antonio Tajani, European Commissioner for Industry and Entrepreneurship, warned: “We face a systemic industrial massacre.”
The Germans probably have done more than anyone else to promote high-cost wind and solar power. .. They want to have renewables account for 80 percent of their electricity. Their experience illustrates consequences of such a policy.
The most obvious consequence is lots of subsidies and taxes. The German government has arranged for renewable energy producers to sell the power grid their electricity at more than 6 times the wholesale electricity market rate. Nature reported that in 2012 renewable energy producers “cashed in an estimated €20 billion for electricity worth a mere €3 billion.” Counting the costs of electricity from all sources, the Institute for Energy Research reported that “Germans pay 34 cents a kilowatt hour compared to an average of 12 cents in the United States).
That sucking sound of European business going to the US
The Association of German Chambers of Industry and Commerce (DIHK) reported that its surveys indicated many German business executives would rather move operations to the US than remain handicapped by high European electricity costs as they try to remain competitive in world markets.
But Obama yearns to do the same thing to America! And the US average rate of 12 cents is considerably higher than the 8 cents or so that it should be. AGW & green energy obsessed states like Connecticut and CA where rates can be as high as 29 cents a kilowatt hour do their part to raise the overall US average. And just wait until CA’s own cap & trade starts to hit. Are the idiot populace of CA going to just sit their like dumb sheep and take it? Yes.
