You really can’t make up stupid like this. There haven’t been any hurricanes in the US this season.

Absolutely gorgeous photos of lightning, T-storms, and a “skinny” probably F1 tornado.
So lightning and T-storms are “extreme weather.” We never used to have these when CO2 was below 350 ppm.

Fault whoever wrote the headline, not the photographer.

  2. Gary says:

He travelled 50, 000 miles looking for hurricanes, but all he got were some nice pictures of thunderstorms.

  3. @njsnowfan says:

LOL Idiots just looking for page views.
With all the climate change and global warming Hurricanes are now forming over Permanent Drought stricken land in the western USA..LOL Not

Photographer did get some nice shots.

  4. omnologos says:

funny how there is zero chance of any hurricane for many days- obviously “extreme weather” means now “extremely calm weather”

  5. Bob Greene says:

Those are really great photos. The photographer should be applauded.
Someone ought to tell the Guardian that hurricanes are extremely rare in Kansas, Wyoming and Colorado. Not sure I’d think to look for them there, but with climate change, you just never know where they might pop up.

  6. Andy DC says:

We have had at best 2 very minimal hurricanes this year, neither was a threat to the US. The westerlies are far south of normal and it appears highly unlikely there will be any more, unless something “subtropical” forms, which would basically be a winter type storm.

When was the last time there was a season with 2 hurricanes (being generous)?

  7. Lance says:

We had a gust of wind at my house, and I’m shocked that NOAA didn’t name it…

  8. Larry Fields says:

It looks like ‘Baghdad Bob’ finally has some worthy competition — from The Guardian.

  9. Ed says:

He travelled 50 000 miles?! Why aren’t they moaning about his carbon footprint?

  10. SaraC says:

The dorks at GRAUNIAD don’t let Goddard’s common sense comments defile their one-eyed view of the world, but even they take notice when their own stupidity reaches 100% on the Crassometer. The headline has been changed.
