The press is complaining about the bitter cold at the Olympics at the same time they are saying global warming threatens the Olympics.

The Olympics are being held in a desert which normally doesn’t get any snow, and just as I predicted last week, the press is blaming the lack of snow on global warming.

January temperatures in the Midwest have been declining since the end of the 19th century.

The number of days above freezing has been declining.

The number of cold nights has not changed. January 2022 was unusually cold.

The percent of warm afternoons has declined, with last month being among the coldest on record.
