My Forecast : Romm Will Not Be Talking Much About October Satellite Temperatures

Joe Romm reported this week :

ENDLESS SUMMER:  September was the hottest on record globally in the RSS satellite dataset.  In this country, the record-smashing temperatures in Southern California got most of the attention

The LA Times had a different opinion . On September 21, they said it was “the coldest summer in decades.

Satellite temperatures anomalies have plummeted in October.

My forecast – Mr. Romm will be explaining next month that cold is due to heat.

Mr. Romm is a nasty little piece of work, a Puritan through and through.

A Puritan, I’ve heard, is one who greatly fears that someone, somewhere, is having a good time.

I have no time to bow at Joe’s altar of CAGW / MMCC / ACD or whatever the alphabet-soup inspired hobgoblin of the day might be. Grow up, Joe!!

Steve – can you give a link to the UAH daily satellite troposhere temps? I looked for it but couldn’t find it. Thanks!

I’ll admit to being a bit slow but are you saying that September was not the hottest on record globally? Or that there were not temperature records broken in Southern California?

I have live in San Diego for 21 yrs now. This passed summer was certainly the coolest where I have lived since I’ve been here. A few days in October and a few days in November got unseasonably warm (records set for the date a couple of times) but June-Sept was very cool compared to any other yr since Ive been here.
