Do you realize the Global mean temperature for today is somewhere around 0f or even 0C. Of course if you took the Wind chill factor and the Heat index into consideration you would get a much lower “Mean” temperature because the heat index only comes into play during the hemisphere summers.
You take the “Estimated High and the Estimated Low for each day at each location to arrive at an estimated Mean that is then adjusted for imagined factors that might effect the measurements. Then you would compare that with the rest of the stations within a 1200K grid to homogenize the results. Accurate and reliable, My ###! Holdren believes it so that is all that matters in his mind and our President appointed him to have the “Best” scientific advise!!

Only the General circulation models and the entire theory of “Global Warming” If it is not the entire Globe then it is Regional Warming and the AGW theory is “TOAST”!
You can go to Surrealclimate to see how to move goal posts because they are experts at that and have been doing it since the site was conceived.
Cut to the Chase and provide evidence that the “Globe” is warming outside of natural variations. Fabricated data sets do not count and fantasy proxy data is Taboo.

It was people like James Hansen and many more haters of the mandatory reduction of CO2 group,who claimed that CO2 was going to cause warming and melting of ice at the poles.
Since it is known that super cold air does not have much H2O in it.CO2 would be the dominant GHG’s in the polar regions.According to the AGW hypothesis cult.
Holdren said we were going to have ice free winters, which implies a complete meltdown. It would require a temperature increase in excess of 25C.

Probably more to do with the way the ice has been getting thinner and covers less area, rather than the weather on any given moment.

That’s why NSIDC shows the ice getting more extensive and UAH shows temperatures getting colder.
the south pole accumulates 8-12 inches snow/ice per year.
it’s going up even faster than the oceans 😉
