After suffering their coldest summer on record, LA is having record cold again.
Disrupting the Borg is expensive and time consuming!

This will solve all the gorebal warming problems….
UN scientists are to consider moves such as putting mirrors in space and sprinkling iron in the sea in an attempt to cut global warming, the head of the IPCC said.

How much more can global warming believers stand before they hit a tipping point and stop believing??
maybe when these kind of things stop.
“The National Weather Service’s thermometer for downtown Los Angeles headed into uncharted territory at 12:15 p.m. Monday, reaching 113 degrees for the first time since records began being kept in 1877.
Shortly after that banner moment, the temperature dipped back to 111, and then climbed back to 112. Then at 1 p.m., the thermometer stopped working.”

Ah, but WEATHER isn’t CLIMATE – or so I’m told . . .
. . but one day isn’t an issue. Especially when in the 1930s/1940s timeframe when a LOT of record highs EVER were set . . .
. . should I say ‘cherry picking’ . . . ?
Tony, You are like Romm. You found one hot day in the coldest summer ever. Brilliant.
http://stevengoddard.wordpress.com/2010/10/20/romm-takes-cherry-picking-to-new-heights/
You know Tony, you can always be relied upon for comic relief….. but then you’re not a comedian.
So you found one record hot temperature, which was influenced by UHI and you say it’s global warming. And you say as long as you can find one record heat temperature you’re going to believe in global warming—even though there’s record cold on 4 Continents this year. Actually that’s not even that good comedy—don’t quit your day job.
You missed this in the headline above, Tony:
“After suffering their coldest summer on record, LA is having record cold again.”
So I ask again: How much more can global warming believers stand before they hit a tipping point and stop believing??
The answer for some believers is they will never change their mind. It’s like the shows I see on Christian tv where they insist they have evidence the earth is 6000 to 10,000 years old. Nothing will change their minds. They make every piece of evidence from archeology look like it’s from a young earth and use rationale to explain away any piece of evidence that makes the earth look much, much older than 10,000 years.
So to global warming true believers the record cold can be rationalized. I pray I am never like that in any area of life!!
You guys are funny. I never said that I would continue “believing”. I was just responding to the Amino’s comment above mine asking when warmists would stop believing.
I don’t know enough about climate to say which isolated weather events are relevant to which side of this question.
You guys have to start projecting and actually read what I write
I flew in to L.A. on the morning of that hot Monday, 9/27/2010. It was a total fluke, by all local accounts.
Sure enough, the next day was much cooler, and Tuesday night was rather cool on the Pedondo Beach Pier. Same for the rest of the week.
Cherry picking a freak day is all you can say about it.
Does ANYONE read what I actually write?
You are awfully touchy about this stuff
“Does ANYONE read what I actually write?
I don’t think anyone really cares.
Steve, you manage to find one cold El Nina cycle in 5 El Nino warmer cycles. But the larger fact that you can’t seem to denounce is….the oceans are warmer all over the planet.
http://www.ouramazingplanet.com/cool-la-nina-heats-up-fire-danger-in-us-southwest-0547/
everything you just said about ENSO renders the CAGW argument MOOT
except for the warmer oceans…they are now cold, and cooling…rapidly
and BTW, the predicted fires never appeared…and hansen/romms permanent drought has not appeared.
it has been raining and snowing…and raining and snowing.
