1989 : New York Times Reports Record Warming And No Warming – At The Same Time

lol, our very own Dr. Phil!!!
East Anglia……… East Anglia……… East Anglia……….
where have I heard that before…………….
One has to surmise that it was around this time that the two organizations got together and had to reconcile their differences…
but but but the US is only 2% of the globe. And furthermore, the prevailing winds blew most of the CO2 away from the US up to the Arctic where the warming has been unprecedented…unprecedented I tell ya!!!
But seriously, this article is from 1989. the IPCC was set up in 1988 with Philly boy in the thick of it. The NOAA hadn’t been recruited into the team as yet.
Opening the NOAA scientists eyes to the potential of publication and endless research grants accompanied by free holidays in exotic places soon convinced them.
20 years on, they’re hanging on to these perks for dear life.
