The last one was Andrew in 1992. The other two were in 1935 and 1969. It has been 934 days since any hurricane hit the US – the longest hurricane-free period since before the Civil War.

Its a Travesty….
It’s not going according to plan.
With the Atlantic less warm, this hurricane season may not be much. But it’s hard to say.
from your lips to God’s ear…………..
So what?

ZZZZzzzz…
I was hoping you were going to tell me why or whether there was some underlying reason. You keep mentioning this topic but never say why you find it interesting enough to post on.
Andy
Some days they tell us that hurricane frequency is increasing. Some days they tell us that hurricane intensity is increasing. The evidence for both is pretty thin.
I agree, I am not convinced by any link for Hurricane number or strength to global warming, though I can understand the reasoning, ie more energy, just that no evidence.
However I don’t think hurricane paths / directions / landfall locations adds much to showing the opposite.
