Snowdon will be snow-free in 13 years, scientists warn
By Ian Herbert
Thursday, 18 January 2007Those who originally named the peak spoke as they probably found it, calling it “Snow Dun”, from the Saxon for “snow hill”. But Snowdon may lose its snow cover within 13 years as a result of climate change, Welsh scientists say.

Be fair – still 9 years to go, “if the trend continues”. There again, we’ve recently (after the snowy winter) been told that more snow is also consistent with “climate change”. Take your pick (preferably an ice-pick).
Checked out your blog and it’s now bookmarked. Good work.
Snow-dumb, more like it.

There was snowfall on Snowdon on June 10 this year
Check the top of the page.
If they are getting snow in June, it should be quite some time before it gets too warm to snow duirng the winter.
