I got a pretty sunburn on a 200+ mile bicycle ride in 105° weather. I drank around 2 gallons of water every hour yet oddly enough I didn’t have to go to the bathroom but once. Funny how that works.
It regularly gets to 110-120 in Imperial Valley in the summer. But unlike crazy college students, they do not let the kids go out and play until after sunset (being the desert it cools off nicely).
Better not invite a UK soccer team to the US – they won’t be able to play in that heat.
They did OK in Mexico City in 1970.

Phoenix on the other hand does not cool off!
