We used to see them in Arizona every winter. Hundreds of thousands of climate refugees from the north streaming into trailer parks. Many bought houses and never went back.
Every winter I think about becoming a climate refugee myself, especially the day after I got back from Lisbon, and my bike went down on the ice in -5F weather.

My Sister has been a climate refugee since 1998 along the Idaho Arizona corridor.
Yes, my neighbors become refugees for 6 months every year. They have it so tough. they leave, go to Florida, and I stay… and look after their house, and shovel the snow…what’s not to hate about that….
