2010/2011 saw over 1,000 people die in floods around the planet, prompting many alarmists to claim that the extreme weather is unprecedented. The graph below compares 2010 vs. 1931 – when more than two million people died in floods.
The red bar representing 2010 is too small to appear on the same graph as 1931. The alarmist definition of “unprecedented” is : I am too stupid and lazy to actually do any historical comparisons.
When you consider the world population in 1931 (~2.07B) vs. today (~6.5B), the comparison as a percentage is even more stark.
If you say something loud enough and often enough morons will believe you, and everyone knows that the vote of a moron is just as good as any Mensa mensch. This is especially telling when the New York Times and everyother Pravda Wannabe has decided that Marx ist Richtig und Uber Alles and a FreePress are passe. Life’s a beach, if you stay put you’re going to eventually drown.
Thanks Steven! That was my first laugh of the morning, and it was a deusy.
If we had 1930’s weather now, the alarmists would have no problem implementing their Communist Worker’s Paradise in the name of climate control.

China’s Yellow River over the centuries it has killed more people than any other river in the world. In 1887 flooding killed nearly two million people, in 1931 the death toll was almost four million, and in 1938 it was almost one million. (From PBS/Nova http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/earth/dealing-deluge.html)
However, any flood which happened in 2011 is unprecedented.
