Fort Collins To Receive 30 Billion Inches Of Rain

I extrapolated out the precipitation trend for the last 120 days (10 inches) and now project that Fort Collins will receive 30 billion inches of rain over the next billion years. This will be deep enough to swim well past the moon.

  1. A K Haart says:

I don’t think so. Because of its density, the moon will just sink.

  2. Latitude says:

You should know that you can’t do a simple trend calculation….
    ….without a multi-million dollar computer

  3. Anything is possible says:

You forgot to factor in that all current trends are subject to a super-duper exponential increase which will kick in some time in the late 21st. century….

Apply this, and it will show that Fort Collins will actually accumulate 30 billion inches of rainfall by the year 2130 (+/-10 years).

What the heck is the deal with all the rain? I like that we’ll be green (the grass is alive, not CO2-free) for quite some time, but this is ridiculous! It’s like living in the midwest (on a wet year) again!
