    Whatever.

They are ice-breaking sailboats and look at the great job they have done!

No, it’s Amundsen’s ship which would have made the Northwest Passage trip in 3 weeks instead of 3 years if it had been open to the extent it was last year.

By the way Steve, I remember you getting testy about the NW Passage opening up last year. I wonder why you emphasize any of this when you previously told me that the Arctic ice cap would either expand shrink or stay the same.

Isn’t it a little schizoid to be saying “The Arctic isn’t melting and it’s so unimportant that it is”? Of course, that’s a corollary of skeptics basic rule: “The earth is cooling and who cares that it’s warming? It’s happened before”.

      • He forgot to bring his electric lights, GPS, radar, Internet satellite photos, short wave radio, helicopter, and NCEP weather forecasts,

Silly guy, he could have made the trip much faster if he remembered his gear.

Wrong the Amundsen’s delay was intentional. He was conducting studies proving that the north pole moved. In fact, he had to cut the studies shorter than he wanted to complete the passage finding. That’s why it took 3 years. I thought I had already cleared up this little misinterpretation of history.

And, wrong again, the ice melt loss is unimportant because it happened before, or are alarmists still insisting the arctic was frozen solid while Leif Erickson et al were farming grain nearby?

IWB, you always leave me baffled. I can’t decide if you intentional disseminate errant information or are you so much ill-informed you can’t discern history? (No pun intended, of course. 🙂 )
