How do you make a consensus? Fire and/or intimidate anyone who disagrees. Then there is no dissent. There was never any dissent in the Soviet Union.

That’s beautiful, a governor telling a scientist what he needs to be saying…….
Should ask her how that NE state thingy is working out now.
Actually, its working great. The EPA coal fired power plant emissions plan exempted Delaware and many other Blue states. It seems emissions from coal plants from Red states are the only ones poluting the atmosphere according to the enforcers of this administration’s protection racket.
Even so, doesn’t N.H and Penn want to opt out?
But you’re correct the administration is selectively enforcing some rulings directly attacking red states. The inverse dynamic could be seen in awarding stimulus money.
Being from decidedly red state, Kansas, I’m very aware of the punitive nature the administration has to those with dissenting views. Which is ok. It causes us to cling to our Bibles and guns even more and reject the ever expanding federal govt.
Here in Oz our Prime minister promised before the election that her government would move slowly, building consensus before taking action to tax carbon dioxide. Now she has declared the tax will commence in 1 July 2012. 67% oppose 15% support, the rest undecided.
That’s what consensus looks like to a warmist.
lol, that’s explains much in this CAGW debate. That’s how 77 can be > than 31,000!!!
Disclaimer: I am not comparing anyone to a mass murderer, I am simply illustrating why (BIG) government sponsored science is dangerous…
“For Hitler and the National Socialists, the significance of racial differences
between individuals and groups, the question that Eugen Fischer had attempted to answer
scientifically in Racial Differences in Mankind, was of the utmost importance. It was
central to the ideology of the party and ultimately led to the planned and systematic
murder of millions of innocent civilians.”

Gator, I think it entirely appropriate to point out the dangers of embracing both socialism and radical thinking veiled in pseudo-scientific expression.and then comparing it to recent historical examples. I’m sure most national socialists didn’t believe they were capable of such monstrosities in the 30s. (Well, the socialists to the east of them had already demonstrated such capacity, but they were of the world view variety not the nationalist one.)
Hey suyts! No arguments here. Tell it.
Basically all “State [someroleoranother]” are their respective Governor’s stooges and all their statements should be laughed at. Unless any of them has ever protested against what happened in Delaware?
!#!@#!
And I had to move to another state governed by idiots and ideologues.

Now moot is the gun barrel enforced religious symbolic act of mercurially sacrificing Edison bulbs while churningly turning remaining pristine winded hills and mountains and oceans too into power line and access path fouled support networks for monstrous bird-chopping industrial towers, shadow-casting bat lung blasting icons of the Church of Climatology, the swinging knives of The Green Bank Authority.
The stolen armor of science falls down before it, yet inertia of the fall itself of this giant of hypocrisy now carries a power grab along, re-energizing it in crucial moment, impossibly, birthing already tooth and clawed clad green babes. Up until one century ago there lived, in the Zi Duang province of eastern country, a glass-like spider. Having devoured its prey it would drape the skeletons over its web, creating a macabre shrine of remains. Its web was also unique in that it had many layers, like floors of a building. At the top of this palace-like place, assembled with almost apparent care, were tiny shining objects, glass, beads, dew-drops. One could almost call it an altar. When the breeze blew thru this construction, it produced sounds of wailing, crying.
Tiny wails, tiny cries.
The baby spiders would get scared and search frantically for their mother. But the Glass Spider would have long gone, having known that the babies would survive somehow on their own.
Now that the fast track light bulb ban has garnered fleeted attention, it’s up for normal track vote, likely tomorrow, one that needs only majority instead of super majority support, attached to another bill, in the usual way. Here is a site for you that automatically determines who your representative is and allows you send an e-mail to them, specifically about the sacrifice of greatness to the false gods of falsified science:

It’s not likely to pass easily into Mr. Bill Becomes A Law, but this will make the GINO (“Green In Name Only”) Demagogues now adopt the prematurely birthed Bush Jr. bulb ban, after Climagegate and a dozen IPCCgates have revealed that all was not right in the state of Denmark, centered around Copenhagen, wherein Man deemed fit to control the weather.

Dissent is destabilizing hence irresponsible and undemocratic. So they were saying until they were kicked out.
Government can set rules on employees over and above rules that can be placed on ordinary citizens. However, that they can does not mean they should. This is a clearly a case of “should not have” as it does nothing for the cause, and everything against it.
