Having returned just 11 days ago from a week’s vacation in the San Juans in southern Colorado, I can say there’s more snow on the tops of the mountains than I’ve seen in recent years, and it sure sounded like there was the usual amount of pikas squeaking away in the same locations they’ve been in for the last 30 years….
The San Juans actually had below average snow this year. The big snows were to the North.
This is the first time since the 70’s that my friends are still snowed in in Craig……….
