This Woman Plans To Save The Planet!

Like a real-life Marvel comics character.

Professor Oreskes has turned vilified scientists into the heroes they deserve to be,” says John Abraham, an associate professor at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minn. She’s performing a service regarding global warming by showing “how a few organized and influential people were able to confuse the country long after the science was settled,” he says.

Oreskes, a professor of history and science studies at the University of California, San Diego, acknowledges that she’s trying to save the world. Earlier, though, her goal was simpler. She wanted to understand scientists by studying their past, in terms of both their findings and their funding.

Funny, funny Steve… surreptitiously inserting a picture of Moammar Gaddafi in drag for the article.

That is what you did didn’t you?

  2. glacierman says:

Wow, what a stirring defense by John Abraham………nuff said.

lol, no doubt, any endorsement by Mr. I’ll-take-it-off-the-video-because-it-was-a-lie is a dispersion towards the person he’s endorsing.

  3. Jim Cole says:

And nary a mention – not even a peep – about the flawed search criteria Oreskes used to arrive at her conclusion that “everybody agrees on global warming”

Nor any mention of the irony that an historian becomes a “defender of climate change science” who “wants to save the world”.

There’s no history with these folks, and there’s no reporting. Just propaganda

You can rest assured that she is going to delve very deeply into alarmist funding and the pal review process.

  5. Grumpy Grampy ;) says:

History revision is more like it! She is definitely a promoter of pathological science.

  6. PhilJourdan says:

She reminds me of the “blood letters” of old (that is letting blood, not B-L-O-O-D). They did not know what was wrong, but “bleeding the patient” was doing SOMETHING.

Idiots do not disappear, they just find a new host to leech off of.

  7. Owen says:

Another Climate Liar. As if we needed another one. These people won’t be happy until they’ve ruined the economy, destroyed democracy and culled the world population to a few hundred million.

“Like a real-life Marvel comics character.”

    She looks like Magneto.

  9. NoMoreGore says:

Is that under eye liner she’s wearing? Is this an accessory to a new Raccoon couture line?

  10. Kramear says:

Ah, the good old American newspaper called the Christian Science Monitor. According to the book “Tragedy and Hope” published in the mid-60’s, this newspaper is one of 5 American newspapers that was part of the “English Establishment.”

Is it me or does most of the global warming science, experts, and policy-makers seem to come from the UK?

    • Brian G Valentine says:

Despite apparent immunity of some good people like Benny Peiser and Piers Corbyn, a dreadful psychological and emotionally debilitating condition known as “global warmism” seems to have originated in the UK and spread to the continent west.

Talk about a public health concern no one is doing anything about!

As a skeptic, she would be surprised how unorganized and unfunded I am.

    What am I missing?
