Six months ago the Wisconsin Senate Democrats went AWOL in an attempt to stop Governor Walker from fixing the state’s disastrous budget. Now they have a budget surplus. This teaches us that the key to a healthy economy is to get the Democrats in Congress to run away.
Over the past six months, Wisconsin has been nothing short of a miracle. Newly elected Governor Scott Walker and the Republicans in the majority in Madison got just about everything they wanted during the past legislative session, and a state facing a projected $3 billion budget shortfall with no end in sight now has a projected $300 million budget surplus. The amazing successes in Wisconsin have emboldened the legislatures and political leaders of other states, who have seen the wonders resulting from a little political backbone and fiscal common sense.

lol, you mean the state didn’t collapse from all of the evil cuts? I wonder why CNN hasn’t reported that?
WOW, I can hear a pin drop from the LSM, they’re scared because it WORKED, I wish the gov’t on all levels would shut down for awhile then we would see how tough the people are, has anyone heard about the bankruptcy in Birmingham Alabama
Once upon a time it would have been called common sense.
This is all nonsense. These are raw budget data, and extremely dangerous in the hands of the general populace.
We need to apply the appropriate adjustments and create the desired communication tools.
We have top men working on it now.
Who you may ask?
*Top* men.
Climatologists?
Just like last Friday when our petulant man-child Prezzzz-i-din’t got all huffy about the calamity that would befall if a deal wasn’t done “before the Asian markets open Monday morning”. Little Timmy Geithner said so too.
So, Monday rolled around without the “deal” and the Asian markets – – – – yawned.
These maroons are “stuck on stupid”. They are absurd, but not funny – – – – at all.
I hope those numbers are real and not an accounting trick.
Most government economic numbers are an accounting trick!
SEC would describe it as fraud but for government it is business as usual!
Did Auburn win the SEC last year? I can never keep track of those ridiculous things.
SEC Securities Exchange Commission!!!
The only Hockey I follow is that played by Mann!
There was one story about a small school district in Wisconsin (about 4k kids). They saved about $1.4 MILLION through the legislation enacted by Walker. Some was in personnel costs (teachers having to pay for their health and retirement), but the biggest chunk was because the School District was enabled to competitively bid the health care contract! before, the union required it go to their union, and that was costing this one small district literally millions of wasted dollars. Just imagine what the entire state saved through that change alone!
