Er, yes? It’s very common for the summits of the Cairngorms to stay snow-covered year-round.
Snow is a thing of the past
So how old is that snow? Didn’t it stop snowing 10 years ago?
I wonder how many vineyards there are in Scotland right now.
Yes you are quite right, Peter. The Cairngorms are pretty much the same as they were in 1967.

Not a problem. It’s rotten snow.
The Cairngorms are only 4,000 ft., not exactly Mt. Everest. It would be surprising if they were snow covered the year round. Maybe a freak summer snow once in a great while, but I doubt if it is “very common”.
Very common year round snow cover is a glacier. What have you been Smoking Peter!
Still not much of a summer in northern Europe.
