1889 was only 123 years ago. If this melting is on average once every 150 years, then this one could be early. Using sophisticated scientific analysis that is only comprehensible to climatologists, this could be an accelerating trend. Please expect a peer-reviewed paper sometime soon on the subject.
At the greenland summit every 100 to 150 years the top few centimeters of the snow gets warm enough to form a sun crust layer and the alarmists go crazy! There still is an average of 2 to 3 km of ice there!
