Hansen often uses the phrase dead-certain, but I do not think you know his meaning of the phrase. He means ‘absolute-value’.
Therefore, increasing sea ice is dead-certain decreasing sea ice. Decreasing sea ice is decreasing sea ice. Similar dead-certain predictions about US regional temperature trends have also had to be dead-certainted to verify the accuracy of the models.
His climate model predictions from 1984 continue to be accurate, truly an ‘astonishing’ claim.
Mann used a similar approach when he inverted the Tiljander silt proxy to demonstrate unprecedented 20th century warming.
This is peer-reviewed climate science, and therefore canonical. Now stop quibbling and start buying carbon certificates before the market collapses!
We have all heard ad nauseam from the media about the record Arctic sea ice melt. Has anyone heard a peep about the increase in Antarctic sea ice? I haven’t, just the usual BS about the penguins.
