That is why the left has been destroying the educational system for the last two generations. A knowledge of history is the last thing they want people to have.

How I and my twin brother ended up completely opposite on politics will never be solved. He avoids talking politics with me now. Oh well. I’ll never forget how he actually defended Hank Johnson’s tipping over Island after posting the video on factbook. It was one of biggest WTF happened to me… Funny thing is that my mother always clicked on “Like” every time I posted something on FB showing how shitty Democrats are.
One of my oldest and best friends went lefty on me after he married. His wife is a major bleeding heart type, and makes virtually all of her decisions based upon emotion. And it doesn’t help that he went from entrepreneur, to administrator at a school for troubled kids that relies almost solely on government funding. I’m quite sure that had he stayed single or married a rational woman, and had not gone to work on the public dime, that he would still be the same guy I knew in college. We have remained good friends, occasionally debating politics and AGW, and it never ceases to amaze me how his knowledge is a mile wide and and inch deep. I like to think I’ve kept him from becoming a complete leftard, which he definitely is not.
