Australia will give $15 million to the Pacific island nation of Kiribati towards the cost of rebuilding a main road damaged by rising sea levels.
Foreign Minister Bob Carr, who is visiting Kiribati, says fixing the road will ensure people can get to schools, health clinics and markets.
”Kiribati is at the front line of climate change,” Senator Carr said in a statement on Monday, adding its highest point is now just three metres above sea level.
Without help in the fight against climate change, Kiribati could be uninhabitable by 2030.

Apparently nobody in the Australian government bothered to check the sea level data for Kiribati before making this decision. Neither satellites nor tide gauges show any rise in sea level over the last thirty years.
My driveway has been devastated by climate change, and it is making it difficult for me to get to work, to the hospital, and even to obtain the basic necessities of life. OK, maybe only difficult to do these without getting the tires dirty, as climate change induced poverty has prevented me from paving it.
Who do I contact for my check?
Send a request to New Zealand advising them that rising sea levels have ruined your driveway and the 500 indigenous species that live on your land are in danger of drowning due to rising sea level.
Come to think of it, I have not seen a polar bear on my property in over ten years…

Topsoil for Kiribati

The late P.A. Yeomans, developer of the Keyline system of land management, recognised that the sustainability of the whole farm was dependent on living, vibrant topsoil. The formation of new topsoil using Keyline principles, at rates not previously considered possible, was due to the use of a tillage implement designed to increase soil oxygen and moisture levels, combined with a rest/recovery form of grazing and pasture slashing, to prune grass roots and feed soil biota. Yeomans was able to produce 10 cm of friable black soil within three years, on what was previously bare weathered red shale on his North Richmond farm (Hill 2002).
Bennett (1939) calculated a rate of topsoil formation of just over 11 t/ha/yr for soils in which organic material was intermixed into surface layers. In situations where plant root mass is high, rates of topsoil formation of 15-20 t/ha have been indicated (Brady 1984). Healthy groundcover, high root biomass and high levels of associated microbial activity, are fundamental to the success of any technique for building new topsoil.
If the land management is appropriate, evidence of new topsoil formation can be seen within 12 months, with quite dramatic effects often observed within three years. Many people have built new topsoil in their vegetable or flower gardens. Some have started to build new topsoil on their farms. If you have not seen new soil being formed, make a point of doing so.

Send them some compost, plant anything compatible with the climate, watch the island rise higher. Is this really that difficult? They would stay way ahead of any sea-rise, real or imagined.

The claim for damage by non existent sea level rise is the excuse. Just like the Maldive’s plea for $$. Would love to find out in whose pockets this $15m is going.
This is a gesture to the Greens who were upset the government had cut foreign aid in their failed attempt to spend less than they earnt so this isn’t real money anyway.
They just keep printing the stuff and hoping no-one notices.
With the idiocy of the present Australian government by the ALP, spending $15,000,000 on a non-existent problem can be seen as “getting off lightly”. None of the present members of government ever read or research facts and data on Climate and are totally ignorant of science.

Changing ocean currents have caused some parts of Kiribati to submerge, however I’m sure alarmists will try to pin that on AGW, too.
And this is exactly what it is all about.
This is the whole point of the International Socialism ( yes you can call them “Communists”, as contrasted to Nazi National Socialists ). It is all they desire and all rodes lead to here.
The AGW farce is but the latest means to an end, the “end” is inserting a catheter into the bloodstream of the western free nations and capitalism in general. From there they can suck out the blood at will and hardly noticed like the parasites that they are.

Where it gets interesting is what happens at the very end of this movie. Even writing checks against the bank accounts of people not yet born ( one of the most brazen accomplishments of the modern Democratic-Socialists that we have here in the USA ) must crash at some point. Then comes a depression of higher magnitude than those of the 1930’s, 1890’s or 1870’s, in a spoiled modern society that lacks frugality and is utterly unprepared for it. There will be blood in the streets and the “leaders” will say: ‘let them eat ice cream’ or maybe ‘tofu’.
A few of the radical socialists truly believe that they can then swoop in with structured ordered socialist societies ( Marxist true believers they are ) and in some places this will definitely happen ( sorry EuroWeenies but you know you are halfway there, disarmed and unified in both currency and bureaucracy ). But can you guess the one place that it will never happen? Yep, the place that all other will ultimately look towards for leadership and inspiration, the place that has a 2nd Amendment. And the purpose of that Amendment should now be obvious.
P.S. this is why I cannot stand the lukewarmers. While Mosher, Fuller and others gleefully play the AGW shell game, carrying their water and trying to convince everyone that examining statistical averages of averages is a form of Science, the leftist socialists continue their unrelenting push towards Marxism. You won’t believe it but Sydney Morning Herald just published an article by a Kiribati Media Producer claiming the exact opposite of the results from tide gauges and satellites. Apparently “In the past month we have learnt that new and improved satellite technology has revealed that the oceans may be rising 60 per cent faster than the best estimates issued of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (from the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research – PIK)”
