As reported in our last alert, the New Jersey Assembly Law & Public Safety Committee is scheduled to hold hearings on a package of 24 gun bills on Wednesday, February 13 beginning at 10 a.m. in the State House Annex, Committee Room 11, 4th Floor, Trenton, NJ (directions here).
The worst of these bills have the effect of banning all rifle-barreled shotguns, numerous rifles and handguns, most rifle ammunition, and magazines that hold over 10 rounds.Ammunition sales would be severely restricted, logged and reported to the State Police, and internet and catalog sales would be banned.
Unaccountable health practitioners (including nurses, social workers, and marriage counselors!) would be turned into spies with the power to effectively suspend Second Amendment rights and have firearms seized. And the exercise of the Constitutional right to own firearms would be conditioned on proof of having firearms safety training. And that’s just the beginning (see detailed bill analysis here).

Remember this when the RNC starts pushing Christie as a POTUS candidate.
It wasn’t just the RNC. Ann Coulter, who constantly railed against the “establishment”, had a crush on the slob. I never liked him from the start no matter how much he bucked the status quo for unions bankrupting the state. She lost a lot of respect by me because of her supporting Christie.
I’m done with both parties. Variations on a theme of big government and constantly diminished liberties. A new party is the only hope of maintaining any freedoms, a true libertarian party. Problem is, those of us who want to be left the Hell alone, are not big on communing, and not ‘joiners’ like the leftards. Not sure how this is going to work out…
With so many people who refuse–refuse–to think straight, it can only come to war. The alliance that makes up the Insane Left is not founded upon positive principals, but upon various groups’ (blacks, Hispanics, environmentalists, secular humanist elites) separate (and essentially childish and inevitably competing) desires to “transform” the current “order”, all under the banner of radicalism, without any true idea of how to do it or what to transform it into (Obamacare is essentially taking a broken system, and trying to instantaneously double it in size, as if by “executive order”). They want to grab power and control “right now”–which is what Hitler did. They will fail (see Steven Goddard’s posts showing the map of Republican and Democratic counties in the U.S.), but they think history is with them (just because Bush is no longer President, apparently). And the hyenas of the world are howling loudly in anticipation of an easy feast.
