Thank you, Steven, for re-posting the graph of average global temperature changes that Newsweek published in 1975.

Apparently worked quietly together back-stage in 1945-46 to get this warning to the public:

Thank you, Steven, for digging up so many of these 1970s stories about the coming ice age. It’s a great help for refuting the Climate Movement types who want to pretend that it never happened.

In the 1970s the consensus of leading climatologists was that air pollution was causing the Earth to cool dangerously, and a new "little ice age" (or worse) was imminent. In addition to the 1975 Newsweek article, here’s a 1974 Time article on climate change (or here), a 1974 CIA Report on climate change (or here), a three-part 1978 documentary (part 1) (part 2) (part 3) on “The Coming Ice Age” (narrated by a young Leonard Nimoy), and many other similar stories.

comparing the northern hemisphere to the globe. go back to taking pitures of the ice with your cell phone and counting the pixels

    • Oh wait! The NAS article from 1975 said this

“If global temperatures should fall even further, the effects could be considerably more drastic”

You must have missed that the first time you carefully read through it.

Polite discourse rewrite of the day…

Hey Steven, The graphs appear to apply to the northern hemisphere only. I may have missed something in the linked articles. What leads you to believe these stories applied globally?

      Thanks, Mosher

Mosher “The Denier” Does not have to read History. He believes what the Pseudo Scientists at SS and RC tell him about climate. Just ask him, Mueller has the BEST FANTASY temperature record of all! 😉
