Obama To Make America Safe From Storm Surges

Like it was in the year 1900, when Galveston was wiped out and 10,000 people died. Obama went to a bunch of Ivy League schools, so he must be a really smart guy.

So the cabin “burst into flames” wonder if it was more like “exploded” from a drone strike?
    The video is crap.

Kind of like the wife beater saying holding an umbrella for his spouse. How sweet.

The problem with education is that you are required to regurgitate the message if you expect at least a pass. This is OK for REAL science etc.

Climate science is simply an unproven hypothesis that has morphed into a political/religious movement.

The issue of a doctorate is supposed to be the reward for independant research.

One problem with academia is the fact that funding the institutions is far easier if it is possible to attract research funding.

This of course leads to another problem of bureaucracies – expansion of staff levels to fill the available funding and justify the importance of senior management leading to increased salaries.

This of course leads to a group think protecting self interest and ex-communication of heretics.

The indisputablr fact that most of the incorrect facts and downright absurdities of the last 15 years have been stated by people with PhDs in the area of climate science is a damning assessment of the value of academia today.

My particular favourite is the space surrounding Earth, though “bathed in 1367 or so Watts per square metre, is “cold” – that one is hard to beat for stupidity even though most people will accept its veracity.

I particularly like the idea of a 2 dimensional earth with no polar areas, no vast ocean currents, no night and day, irradiated 365 days a year by a reduce output sun that never varies in brightness. And from this a model it can be projected average global temperatures to an accuracy of a few tenths of a degree for decades to come.
