Experts say that global warming ended snow and winter thirteen years ago, so I was surprised to see that we are alphabetically up to winter storm Q already.
Winter Storm Q’s hurled hail, snow, and freezing rain from the Southwest into the Southern Plains Wednesday night, and conditions are only expected to get worse by sunrise Thursday.
This latest powerful winter storm could deliver at least a foot of snow to parts of the nation’s heartland.

The other day I went out to peek at Weather.com for my daily forecast. At the top of the page was an alert that another winter storm was named. Out of curiosity, I decided to click the link to get the full scoop. I found it interesting that the comments left on the description page were nothing but calls to “stop naming storms”. Every single comment (about two dozen) said the very same things, “quite this stupid storm naming crap”, and more… It is obvious that everyone is getting sick and tired of this stupid storm naming bullshit. I believe their attempt to sensationalize has finally run its course. People are not buying the bullshit anymore (I hope).
I agree. Naming winter ‘storms’ is a stupid idea and The Weather Channel is getting lots of grief about it.
Steve, time to start your rock/snowball count….
We have about 100 trillion snowballs in Colorado this morning.
They are having snowball fights at the PGA tournament in Arizona as play was suspended, How’s the Green land golf links looking?
